Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 457

“I’ll redeem them when I get back.”

Wiona didn’t even hesitate. “Of course.”

“Think about what you want. When I’m back, just tell me. If it’s something I can do, I promise I won’t say no.”

Conrad’s eyes grew darker, a little smile tugging at his lips, like he was already imagining something. “Alright. I’ll give it some serious thought.”

“Wiona, go have some breakfast,” he added. “I’ll be back soon.”

Then he ended the call first.

Wiona hugged her tablet and kissed the screen twice, like that could make up for not being able to kiss Conrad in person.

“Babies, your dad is just incredible,” she whispered.

“He’s been patient, planning every step, waiting for the perfect moment to deal with Jace and Kellen. Today is finally the day.”

“And look at me, always reacting, never taking the lead. Pregnancy brain really is a thing, huh?”

“But now that the road is clear, you two can be born without any drama. No scandals, no shadows hanging over us.”

She paused, a mischievous spark in her eyes. “But to make sure there’s proof, maybe I should stir things up a little more.”

With that, Wiona grabbed her phone again. This time, she shared Jace’s post and added a comment: Congratulations to you both. Hope you have a beautiful baby soon.

Most people wouldn’t recognize her Twitter handle, but Jace definitely would.

She had no idea how he’d feel when he saw it, but she knew for sure he’d be even more worried she might step up and expose his lies.

He had no clue that the chaos he’d caused today was exactly what Wiona had hoped for all along.

After posting it, Wiona got up and headed downstairs.

On the other side of the world, in a Sullivan Group hotel, Conrad had just ended the call when Korey knocked and hurried in, a group of people right behind him.

But now, there was finally a major breakthrough in the old kidnapping case. They had even found out the ringleader’s codename: Y.

On the surface, Conrad had come to Europe for business. There was a big partnership in trouble, and he’d needed to step in personally.

But in truth, he had never stopped investigating the kidnapping over the years, and by chance, he’d found evidence of the group’s activity here in Europe.

Once he had a lead, Conrad had followed it himself.

He hadn’t expected the opposition to be quite so strong.

They’d hit back hard, and even with a bulletproof vest, Conrad had taken a bullet to the arm.

Luckily, it hadn’t hit any nerves.

Still, the injury was bad enough. Conrad couldn’t use his left arm for now, and as they hadn’t treated it right away, he was starting to feel weak from blood loss.
