Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 48

“Fine. Bring her home with you. I want to see for myself what kind of woman could turn your head like this.”

After hanging up, Grandma Grace finally noticed Wiona standing there. The anger melted away from her face as she reached out, motioning Wiona over.

“Wiona, don’t be upset. There’s something I need to talk to you about.”

Wiona glanced around. Everyone looked tense.

“What’s wrong, Grandma?” Wiona asked softly. “You can tell me. I promise I won’t get angry.”

But Grandma Grace hesitated, words stuck in her throat.

Bianca, completely unbothered, admired her nails with a smug grin. “Wiona, your lucky days are over. My brother got in a car accident today. If Kellen hadn’t been there to shield him, he’d be the one in the hospital now. So he’s bringing Kellen back to the main house to recover. Feeling nervous, Wiona? The woman he’s secretly loved for years is about to live under your roof. How are you going to compete?”

Bianca’s taunting tone made Grandma Grace bristle.

“Bianca! Watch your mouth when you’re speaking to your sister-in-law. And from now on, if I catch you act so rude to her again, I’ll take away every cent of your allowance.”

Bianca stomped her foot, fuming. “Grandma, you always take her side! So what if she’s pregnant? What’s the big deal?” She flopped into her seat and started hacking her steak to pieces.

Alona hurried to Grandma Grace’s side, gently rubbing her back. “Mother, please don’t get upset. Bianca’s just spoiled, that’s all. I’ll make sure she learns some manners. Did you hear your grandmother, Bianca? From now on, you show her some respect.”

Wiona was moved, but only because of Grandma Grace. Her feelings for the rest of the Salisbury family had long since faded. She’d already made up her mind to leave, and nothing would change that. The only reason she kept quiet now was to avoid hurting the old lady’s heart.

“Grandma, let me take you back inside to rest,” she said gently.

Grandma Grace looked a little disappointed, but she patted Wiona’s hand and didn’t push. There was still time. She’d make sure Wiona saw what really mattered in the end.

After Wiona left, Jean let out a sigh. “Ma’am, it seems she still hasn’t let go of wanting to divorce Mr. Salisbury. You were so clear with her. Is it possible she just doesn’t get it?”

“If she doesn’t get it, I’ll make sure she does,” Grandma Grace said firmly. “Why else would I have gone to so much trouble last year? If I hadn’t pulled a few strings, she never would have agreed to marry into this family.”
