Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 481

“Can a couple of words make me forgive him?” Wiona asked, her voice low. “What about you? Are you going with him? Are you sure?”

She could already see the hesitation and emotion in Madison’s eyes. Kyle had gotten to her again.

Madison nodded. “Yeah.”

“I’ll have him take me back to the Simpson house. Don’t worry, I’m not ready to see Mom and Dad yet.”

“And even if my brother’s changed, Mom and Dad haven’t.”

Madison was still thinking clearly.

Wiona understood how she felt. Madison probably wanted family, just like she once did. She could talk tough, but actually cutting ties was a different story.

All she could do was respect Madison’s choices.

“Just remember to look out for yourself, okay?” Wiona said softly. “Don’t just believe whatever he says.”

Madison smiled. “I won’t. Promise.”

She turned and walked over to Kyle, looking up at him seriously. “Let’s go.”

When they left, Wiona felt an unexpected wave of sadness. The street was full of people, lively and bright, but for some reason it all felt a little cold and empty.

That feeling didn’t last long. Alice came skipping back, candy apple in hand, with Molly right behind her.

“Wiona, I got you a flat one, with cream on it! Here, try it!”

Alice held the treat up to her lips, and Wiona couldn’t help but smile. Just like that, her gloom lifted and the loneliness faded away.

“It’s delicious. Thank you, Alice.”

Wiona realized she wasn’t the only one helping Alice heal. Alice was helping her, too.

At the auction house, Wiona handed her invitation to the staff at the door, her small group close behind.

“Vi… Vivian?” The staff member stared, wide-eyed, at the lady in the mask.

Could it really be her? The famous jewelry designer? No one had ever seen the real Vivian before.

She’d actually shown up.

Everyone had heard the rumor that Vivian was invited, but nobody thought she’d actually come. The staff member glanced at the people with her. Six big guys in sunglasses—definitely bodyguards. Two other girls , also masked, stood nearby.

“That’s what makes it special. Did you see what she looked like?”

“Which one was she?”

“The fanciest one, for sure. I couldn’t see her face, though. Come on, let’s try to find her inside!”

Wiona’s entrance set off a wave of excitement. Everyone lingering outside hurried in, eager to catch a glimpse.

Even Jace and Kellen, just getting out of their car, caught the chatter.

“Vivian?” Kellen’s eyes lit up. She showed off her ring to Jace. “Babe, is that the Vivian who designed my ring? She’s really here? I heard nobody knows who she is. Do you think if I go up to her with the ring, she’ll be extra nice to me?”

Jace looked uncomfortable. He still owed the studio money for the jewelry set. He couldn’t even recall when he’d ordered it, but the set he gave Kellen was the real deal. The embarrassing part was, he and the Salisbury family were broke. He’d never paid the balance.

The last thing he wanted was to run into Vivian and have her call him out in public. That would ruin him and his family.

“She’s just a designer,” he muttered, pulling Kellen toward the entrance. “No need to make a big deal. We don’t have to play along.”

“Let’s go. I just hope the jewelry from Grandma sells for a good price.”

Even though he and Kellen were married, they were still missing an important thing . Without it, he couldn’t claim his inheritance.
