Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 840

"When you see him later, don't hold it against him."

Sophie's expression froze. He hadn't even noticed she was missing? Her nails dug fiercely into her palms, her entire body trembling with rage.

Just then, Olive walked into the room. His calculating gaze swept over Sophie from head to toe. "So, you are Arthur's long-lost daughter?" he asked. Then, his eyes shifted to the exceptionally striking Kyle standing nearby. "Hello, Mr. Morgan. I’ve heard so much about you."

Downstairs, Wiona slipped into a comfortable pair of low heels and returned to the banquet hall.

"Enjoyed the show?" Conrad wrapped his arm around her slender waist, pretending to sip his champagne as he whispered in her ear.

Wiona sighed in feigned disappointment. "It was just a light appetizer. But seeing them scrambling and confused because their precious plan was ruined definitely made me happy." She covered her mouth, unable to suppress a mischievous giggle.

Conrad's eyes filled with nothing but her vibrant, radiant reflection. He tapped her nose affectionately. "Hold your horses. The real excitement has only just begun. For now, would you care for a dance?"

Wiona scanned the hall, ensuring the rest of the Blue family was fine, then pinched the edges of her skirt and offered a graceful curtsy. "I will follow your lead, Mr. Sullivan."

Conrad finished his drink in one smooth motion, and the two began to sway slowly to the music in their quiet corner. Without trying, they effortlessly drew a crowd. Even though they were far from the center of the room, people naturally gravitated toward them. Some simply watched in awe, while others joined in and began dancing around them.

"And what is so great about this Conrad anyway!?" one of the cousins sneered. "If his ancestors hadn't left him such a massive fortune, he wouldn't be here throwing his weight around and humiliating our family!"

"Hah, if I had been born with a silver spoon like his, the business empire I would build would dwarf his. He has nothing to be proud of!"

The moment the words left his mouth, the other cousins shot him a look of sheer mockery. The Thompsons were arrogant, yes, but they weren't entirely delusional. Deep down, they knew that even if they possessed Conrad's background, they would never match his terrifying talent and brilliance.

Still, the jealousy was agonizing. Why were some people born as kings, while they had to tear each other apart just to survive in their own family? The cousins exchanged bitter glances, their envy impossible to hide.
