Divorced My Cheating Husband, Married A Billionaire novel Chapter 72

"They say that when a door closes, another one opens, and there is a reason for everything. Yes, I suffered a great amount of pain, and that might have prevented me from loving again, but -" Riley sniffed, holding back her emotions. Behind her veil, she wiped the tears that were threatening to fall. Her nose flared as she forced herself to smile.

Adrian, sensing her distress, was about to hold her, but she mouthed, 'It's okay.' He understood, and with a gentle nod, he leaned back in his wheelchair.

Finally, after collecting herself, she resumed, "Again, I went through a bad heartbreak, and I thought I would never love again, but how can I not love you? Adrian, you were the answer to my prayers, the person who put me together, and the person who saved my life seven years ago."

"Your love for me cannot be compared, and I could not ask for a better man to be my husband, my future, and the same person I will spend the rest of my life with." Riley sucked in a deep breath and claimed, "Because of you, I can confidently say there is forever in us."

"I promise to support you in all your endeavors, the same way you have with mine. And no matter where life takes us, I pledge to honor, love and cherish you as my partner through health and hardship until the end of our days. I love you, Adrian."

Riley's vow earned her loud applause, the most audible one coming from Abner King. When she gazed at Adrian's grandfather, she smiled. Then, she caught sight of Anthony. He gave her a nod, and for a moment, Riley thought Adrian's father was close to breaking into tears.

Everywhere Riley looked, their guests were praising, and many were emotional. Zia was sobbing, especially beside her mother, and Renee was equally moved.

It took a reasonable amount of time, but eventually, everyone moved on from the vows. Adrian and Riley exchanged rings. Then, ultimately, the most awaited part arrived.

The priest smiled at Riley and Adrian and said, "Congratulations, Mrs. and Mr. King. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!"

Another round of applause echoed in the venue. Riley blushed altogether before she calmly sat on Adrian's lap.

A chuckle left Adrian's lips. He said, "Thanks for making it easy for me."

"It's what marriage is all about, right? Meeting halfway, compromises, filling the gaps," Riley described.

With that, Adrian smiled. He uncovered Riley's face, pushing back her veil, and then, in front of the guests, they kissed passionately.

Their eyes were shut as they indulged in that kiss. Their heads turned, and their hands were on each other's faces. The couple did not know how long they kissed, but they only pulled away because the priest loudly cleared his throat.

"Um. The honeymoon is for later," the priest teased.

After the ceremony, Adrian and Riley had their reception at the Marriot Hotel. Guests were served with an extravagant spread of food, offering a delightful array of dishes to satisfy every palate.

The party was entertaining, featuring live bands, modern and contemporary dances, and a photo booth. Of course, speeches and toasts were given to honor the newlyweds, and traditions such as the first dance and cutting the cake were added to the festivities.

The most impressive part of Riley and Adrian's wedding party was the fireworks display. All the guests were invited to the hotel's rooftop to enjoy the twenty-minute fireworks show.

While appreciating the colorful skies, Riley sat on Adrian's lap. Her arms were wrapped around his neck, and she slouched, allowing her to rest on his shoulder.

"It's so beautiful," Riley remarked.

"You are more beautiful," Adrian said back.

Riley bit her lip. The excitement rose to her cheeks, and she flushed. She softly asked, "Is that all we will do, Mr. King?"

A low growl seemed to have rumbled in Adrian's chest. He answered, "Then, you will eat me too."

Riley gasped. She looked around, ashamed, but thankfully, their visitors' faces were still upturned. She glanced back at her husband and suggested, "How about we eat each other at the same time?"

Adrian choked. He coughed against his fist, and his face turned a shade darker. Only Riley could clearly see that her husband was blushing at her proposal.

A hiss left Adrian's lips. He answered, "I can already imagine it."

"Then?" Riley teased. She traced his muscular chest with her finger and asked, "What happens next?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Adrian smirked. "I'll fill your pink hole until all you feel is me."

Riley's eyes rounded, and her mouth did the same. It sounded so sexy and naughty that she felt tingles down her core. She asked, "Hun, is that you? Where did you learn that?"

"I'm just keeping the fire burning, Honey," Adrian answered, giving off a sly grin. "And since you are tired, I'll only do you twice tonight. But tomorrow, on our honeymoon, I'll claim you all day and all night long."

Riley gasped, and her underwear quickly became damped! Her eyes became dreamy as she responded, "I like the sound of that."
