Divorced the Cheat Married the Fleet (Camilla and Lance) novel Chapter 469

Magee was the one who had called the police.

When Pamela kept aggressively pushing him to drink the water, he immediately knew something was off. The second he stepped into the bathroom, he dialed 911.

As for Dahlia, Camilla, and the others, they had rushed over the moment they realized he had everything he needed.

The hotel where Magee and Pamela were meeting was just down the street from the restaurant they had been at. They arrived at the exact same time as the cops.

The sudden intrusion left Pamela pale and shaking with rage. Right on cue, the bathroom door clicked open, and Magee strolled out completely unharmed.

Seeing him, Pamela completely lost her mind. "Magee, you asked me here just to call the cops?! What the hell are you doing?!

Everything you said earlier—you were playing me this whole time?!"

"I should be asking you that," Magee said coldly. "I agreed to meet with you out of goodwill, and you tried to drug me. I'm just exercising my legal right to defend myself."

Pamela was hyperventilating, her chest heaving as she screamed her defense, "Are you out of your mind?! What drugs?!

You're standing right there! You're perfectly fine!"

"I'm fine because I'm a doctor and I noticed what you did before it was too late. That glass of water on the table is all the proof you need. Officers, please take it in for testing. The results will speak for themselves," Magee stated evenly.

All the blood drained from Pamela's face. She wildly lunged toward the table to knock the glass over, but Jeniffer was faster. She grabbed Pamela's wrist and brutally shoved her aside.

The officers immediately moved in, pinning Pamela down and securing her.

Pamela thrashed against them, shrieking, "Magee, are you kidding me?! We're literally engaged! What's wrong with sleeping together a little early?!

You called the cops to arrest me over that?! Are you a psycho?!"

"I never agreed to that engagement," Magee shot back. "And beyond that, the Adams family's reputation is spotless. We would never marry into a family involved in international money laundering. Officers, I have a recording containing evidence of her involvement in cross-border laundering operations. Please review it thoroughly."

Pamela's own confession on the wire proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that neither she nor the Gates family was clean.

Having gotten exactly what he needed, Magee was completely done dealing with her.

Dahlia's mental state was fragile, and she couldn't handle intense stress; Pamela was a massive trigger for her. Plus, if the Gates family kept harassing the Adams family, it would only lead to more chaos. It was better to just completely annihilate them in one fell swoop.

"Magee, you did this on purpose! You just came here to trap me, didn't you?!
