Chapter 261: Obsessive Love

Sunlight filtered through the sheer white curtains, casting a hazy, muted glow across the room.

The suitcase was tossed into a corner, and the door clicked shut.

The second they were inside, Damon pinned Aubrey against the wall and captured her lips.

His fingers found the zipper at the back of her dress. The faint rasp of the metal teeth parting was the only sound in the room. Aubrey felt a slight chill against her bare back. She breathed in deep, her lungs filling with Damon’s scentthat clean, sharp smell of cedar. It was intoxicating.

Her hands slid down the firm lines of his back. Beneath the smooth fabric of his shirt, his muscles were coiled and tense.

He kissed herhard, desperate, and hungry.

Caleb turned and carried her toward the large bed. He held her waist, dropping a knee onto the mattress as he slowly lowered her down.

The mattress dipped under their combined weight.

He made quick work of her clothes, tossing the heavy fabric aside.

His knee nudged hers apart

They both took a sharp breath. The pace was slow, like waves rhythmically washing over the shore.

Sweat rolled down the curve of his spine, dripping into the hollow of her collarbone. It was hot. Aubrey arched her neck, her throat exposed. He leaned down to kiss the steady thrum of her pulse.

Outside, tree shadows swayed against the wall. The courtyard was as silent as the bottom of the ocean.

Inside the room, it was anything but quiet.

From noon to evening, from the bed to the bathroom, they refused to stop until they were both completely spent.

It was a mix of pure physical chemistry and a deep, psychological need. His obsession with Aubrey was borderline madness.

He loved her body, and he loved her soul.

When it came to Aubrey, he would’ve happily F**Ked himself to death just to stay a little longer.

But Aubrey couldn’t keep up. She didn’t have his stamina, and her body was prone to exhaustion.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and for them, it was dangerously true.

Night fell.

Aubrey lay face down on the bed, exhausted and drifting off to sleep. The blanket had slipped down to her waist, exposing the smooth, pale skin of her back.

Damon walked out of the bathroom and lay down on his side. He leaned over, pressing a kiss to her pale shoulder blade, and pulled the blanket up over her shoulders. Hungry?he whispered softly. Want something to eat?

Aubrey didn’t move, her eyes still closed. Not hungry, she murmured, her voice weak and exhausted. Just so tired.

Damon pulled back the covers and slid in next to her. He hooked an arm around her waist, dragging her back into his chest. He held her tight and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. Go to sleep,he whispered, his voice low and raspy. We’ll grab dinner once you wake up.

DamonAubrey murmured, her voice soft and lazy. How do you have so much stamina? Don’t you ever get tired?

Damon stroked her smooth shoulder. Not really.

Well, I’m totally spent.

I’ll try to hold back a little next time,

Good,Aubrey whispered, her eyes drifting shut as she faded out.

Damon leaned in close, his lips grazing her earlobe. A low, magnetic rumble vibrated in his throat Bree,he whispered, his breath hot against her skin. Did it feel good?

Aubrey kept her eyes shut, drifting in and out of sleep. She felt a shy flush creep up her neck. Yeah, she mumbled breathlessly It was. amazing.

Me too.

It wasn’t just the physical release It was more than that it was emotional
