DON’T STOP (Lila and Darrell) novel Chapter 134

Red Crush 134

Red Crush 134.

Viktor

May on my bed after Scarlett rushed out, staring at the ceiling in the dark. My body was still buzzing from the kiss, from the way she had looked at me when I took my hoodie off, from the heat of her thighs around my hips. But now the room felt too quiet, too empty.

She had pushed me away.

The rejection stung more than I wanted to admit. I wanted her so badly both as Scarlett and as Red Fox. I wanted to keep kissing her, to touch her, to finally show her the side of me I’d been hiding. But she was drunk, and I didn’t want to be the guy who took advantage of that.

I reached for my phone, thumb hovering over the Sensual app. A private session with Red Fox would help. It always did. I could lose myself in her voice, her body on the screen, and forget the sting of being pushed away tonight.

But when I checked my balance, reality hit hard. The money was almost gone. I had spent way too much on her these past weeks, and my last big transfer hadn’t cleared yet. No private session tonight. No escape.

With a heavy sigh, I dropped the phone on the nightstand and rolled over, pulling the blanket over my head. Sleep came slowly, restless and unsatisfying.

The next morning I woke up feeling like shit.

My body was burning up. A hot fever had settled deep in my bones overnight, making every movement painful. My head throbbed, my throat felt scratchy, and sweat clung to my skin even though I was shivering. I barely managed to drag myself

out of bed when I heard a knock at the door.

A delivery man stood outside with a small package. “Viktor? New glasses for you.”

I stepped out, squinting against the morning light. My vision was still blurry without them, and the fever made everything feel hazy and distant.

The delivery man frowned as he handed me the package. “You alright, man? You look pretty rough.”

“Not really,” I answered, my voice weak and shaky. “Sorry about that.”

He gave me a concerned look. “You should check yourself into the hospital or at least see a doctor. Take care.”

I nodded weakly and took the package. As he walked away, I saw Scarlett approaching her door from the other end of the hallway. She was carrying a black bag, probably from a quick store run. She looked fresh and put-together compared to how I felt.

The delivery man left, and Scarlett turned toward me, her expression shifting to worry the moment she saw me.

“Hey, you alright?” she asked, stepping closer.

The memory of last night flashed through my fevered mind – her pushing me away, telling me to call the cops next time. I didn’t have the energy for another awkward conversation.

“Don’t let me call the cops, please,” I sighed, my voice hoarse.

Without waiting for her reply, I turned and went back inside my apartment, shutting the door gently but firmly behind me. I leaned against it for a moment, the cool wood feeling good against my overheated skin, then shuffled back toward my bed.

The new glasses could wait. Right now, all I wanted was to lie down and let this fever pass.

I woke up slowly, my body heavy and aching. The fever still burned through me, but it felt a little less intense than before. The room was dim, and someone was gently wiping my face with a cool, damp towel.

Blinking a few times, I realized it was Scarlett.

She was sitting on the edge of my bed, carefully squeezing water from the towel before pressing it softly against my forehead and cheeks. Her movements were gentle, almost tender. The faint scent of her shampoo mixed with the medicine smell in the room.

When she noticed my eyes open, she gave a soft, relieved sigh. “Thank God you’re awake.”

I tried to sit up a little, but my head spun. “What…. what happened?” My voice came out weak and raspy.

She set the towel aside and looked at me with worried eyes. “I wanted to apologize for last night, so I knocked on your door. You didn’t answer. I called your name a few times, but still nothing. I got really worried, so I tried the door… it wasn’t locked.

When I came in, you were unconscious on the bed. You looked so weak, like you were about to faint any second. I had help you.”

She gestured toward the bedside table. “I got some drugs for you – fever reducer, painkillers, and something for the headache. They’re right there.”

I turned my head slowly. Sure enough, several medicine packets and a bottle of water were neatly arranged on the table:

I looked back at her, my throat tight. “Thank you,” I whispered.

“You’re welcome.” She gave a small smile, then stood up and stretched her hand toward me for a handshake/”Well, i have. to leave now. Please take good care of yourself. I apologize for treating you badly last night. Let’s just be good neighbors from now on.”

I took her hand, intending to shake it politely.

But the moment our palms touched, something in me snapped. Without thinking, I pulled her forward gently but firmly She lost her balance and fell flat onto my chest, her body pressing against mine.

I wrapped my arms around her tightly, hugging her close. Her warmth felt so good against my feverish skin. She smelled clean and soft, like comfort I didn’t deserve but desperately wanted.

Scarlett let out a soft sigh against my shoulder, her body going still in my embrace. She didn’t pull away immediately. For a few precious seconds, she just lay there on top of me, her breathing steady against my neck.

I closed my eyes, holding her a little tighter, my heart beating hard even through the sickness. This was dangerous. She

was drunk last night, and now I was sick and vulnerable. But having her here, in my arms, felt like the only thing that had made sense in days.
