Even a simple chopstick or an umbrella became a weapon in her hands. She blended different martial arts styles so perfectly that she could hold her own even without a blade.
Seeing Josie go that hard motivated everyone else to step up.
Soon, people were training all over Quinshaw Base.
Even the old–timers from the Agri–Science Institute joined in. Most of them were total lab rats who usually hated breaking a sweat.
But Josie’s energy was infectious. It didn’t take long for them to join the ranks and start moving.
Of course, they weren’t going full throttle like Josie and Zane. They kept it low–impact–mostly power walking, light jogs, or Tai Chi.
They were seniors, after all.
You couldn’t expect them to push their limits like the younger crowd.
One day, after finishing her session, Josie was heading back when she spotted a group of them practicing Tai Chi.
She meant to just glance at them, but she ended up following along.
I’m telling you.
Seriously, no joke.
The moves were slow, but the stretch was incredible.
Josie realized that when she did the movements and let her Plant Manipulation flow through her body, her exhaustion vanished
instantly. One round, and she felt brand new.
From that day on, Josie became a regular in the Tai Chi group.
Two months flashed by in the blink of an eye.
One day, everyone was just going through their usual routines when a shout cut through the air. “Hey! Everyone, get out here! The
temperature is rising!”
Everyone dropped what they were doing and scrambled outside.
It was still freezing, but you could finally feel it–a faint, unmistakable trace of warmth in the air.
It jumped from minus 150 to minus 60 in an instant. That was a sixty–degree swing.
How could it not feel warm?
Just a few days ago, stepping outside was a struggle. Every breath was a fight.
It felt like the oxygen itself had frozen solid.
Now, they could actually breathe.
It felt like the world was coming back to life!
“The temp really is going up!” someone screamed after checking the thermometer. The crowd went wild. “We can plant! We can finally start farming again!”

“Yes! I’m going to plant that new hybrid bok choy first!”
“And I’m going for the radishes! My favorites!”
The researchers from the Agri–Science Institute were losing their minds, hooting and hollering with pure joy.
Perfect.
Typical. Farming is in their blood.
A few Rain and Wind Supers charged toward the greenhouses, hyped as hell, already getting to work.
No kidding.
This wind super had been training like a madman just so he could farm. He’d already grinded his way to Tier–3.
The entire base’s ventilation system? That was all him.
Can you believe that?
A human air conditioner?
But it was the damn truth.
