Chapter 315.
“They’re our own people, obviously,” the registration clerk replied. “Why do you come here every day to ask about this? Is there something suspicious about these outsiders?”
The other man answered vaguely, “No problem. I just don’t trust them. They’re in and out every day; they clearly have other motives and plans.”
The clerk rolled his eyes at him. “You’re just looking for trouble. They’re here to find their relatives.”
“Don’t worry about that. Just remember to tell me whenever those outsiders head out.” The man quietly tucked a cigarette into the clerk’s hand. “Fine, fine,” the clerk agreed, his eyes lingering on the cigarette.
Sure enough, the moment the other members of the Blue Owl Squad headed out again today, word of their departure reached Cyrus Finch almost instantly.
Cyrus sat behind a massive executive desk.
After a moment of silence, he said, “Continue monitoring them. Keep a close eye on Josie Quinn.”
“Understood,” Lord Vane, the Tier-4 Pyro Undead, replied with his head bowed. “I’ll have people watch her immediately. However, according to the reports, she didn’t leave the sanctuary today.”
“Then watch her inside the sanctuary,” Cyrus said, far from reassured. “I have a feeling she’s up to no good.”
It had to be said that as rivals, Cyrus and Josie understood each other exceptionally well.
Cyrus knew Josie, and Josie knew Cyrus.
Both were deeply wary and constantly on guard against the other.
However, Cyrus never imagined that Josie would leave the rest of the Blue Owl Squad behind and act alone.
Even less did he expect her to disguise herself as a man.
In the past, no matter how great the hardship or how difficult the situation, Josie had always appeared in her female form.
This time, she had truly caught Cyrus off guard.
Disguised as a man, Josie had slipped out of the sanctuary once again.
She vanished silently from everyone’s sight.

This new team was much quieter than yesterday’s group.
Few people spoke; they mostly traveled in silence.
Suddenly, Ivy stirred in Josie’s pocket.
Josie pretended to pat her pocket, but she was actually using her Plant Manipulation to communicate with the little vine. “What is it? What’s wrong?”
Ivy spoke up timidly, “Mistress, there’s a powerful Undead aura up ahead.”
A powerful Undead aura?
Josie arched an eyebrow.
It seemed the Undead’s level was lower than her own. Otherwise, she would have sensed it herself.
Then again, Ivy was incredibly weak. Even a Tier-2 Undead was a daunting challenge for her. But for Ivy to proactively warn her meant the Undead ahead was likely a serious problem for ordinary humans.
Sure enough.
A second later, the team leader suddenly tensed
“Everyone, stop! Prepare for battle!”
In an instant, everyone went into a combat stance, instinctively moving to shield Josie behind them.
Clearly, they all assumed that as a Spatial Super, Josie possessed no combat ability or strength. To them, she was their mobile warehouse. They had to ensure her safety.
Protecting Josie meant protecting their supplies.
After all, Josie’s space currently held all the survival essentials they needed for the next three days.
Josie was quite satisfied with their reaction.

Truthfully, between the Fort City Base and the Newport City Sanctuary, Josie much preferred the latter. The former wasn’t even worth mentioning; they would get a brutal reality check sooner or later. The people here, however, had already been through the wringer and had learned to be smart.
“There’s a Tier-4 Undead ahead,” the captain announced. “I’ll handle him. The rest of you, stay sharp!”
“Yes, Captain!” the others shouted in unison.
“Protect the Spatial Super!”
“On it!”
