Doomsday Revenge: Payback Time (Josie) novel Chapter 320

Chapter 320.

“On it, Mistress!” Ivy hopped down and scurried off on her tiny roots.

She picked a tunnel at random and vanished inside. A moment later, she came back, switched to another tunnel, and scurried off again.

She repeated this until she had explored every branch.

“This one!” Ivy pointed her vine at the far-right tunnel. “There’s so much stuff at the end of this one!”

Josie’s spirits lifted. She scooped up Ivy and strode forward.

The military base appeared remarkably intact, with no supplies left scattered on the surface. This meant either it had been picked clean early on, or the original occupants had evacuated in an orderly, disciplined fashion.

Josie suspected the latter.

If Ivy hadn’t found this small hatch, Josie never would have spotted it herself. That meant there had to be good loot hidden down here!

Josie followed the tunnel to its end.

Sure enough, a row of heavy doors appeared before her. They were incredibly thick, and the locks were maddeningly complex.

An ordinary person would have been stumped.

But Josie wasn’t an ordinary person.

Her Metal Manipulation went to work. Door after door was melted open.

And the items inside made Josie gasp repeatedly.

The rooms were packed to the rafters with weapons! All of them!

The scale of this cache rivaled the massive arsenal she had found in Fort City. It was impossible to estimate the sheer volume of firepower.

This was likely where they kept every weapon that wasn’t nuclear.

The best part? Not only were there attack helicopters, but there were also submarines!

She hit the jackpot. This was a total windfall!

Josie couldn’t contain her excitement. She raised her hand and began a looting spree!

She was grateful her spatial power had reached Tier-6. Collecting these massive machines didn’t even make her break a sweat. There was no repeat of the dizziness, leg-weakness, or pale face she had experienced during her last major haul.

She whispered a silent thanks for the “gift” from June Quinn.

Because of this influx of weapons, Josie’s space felt even more solid and vast.

It took Josie nearly two hours to sweep everything into her storage. Ignoring everything else, she quickly turned to leave.

The two-hour window for the meeting with the captain had arrived. She had no intention of letting anyone else know she had just claimed a super-arsenal for herself.

She had to get back immediately.

Sure enough, by the time Josie returned, the entire team was already there. She was the last one.

The captain didn’t scold her for being late. He simply nodded. “Good to see you’re safe. Now I can relax.”

Because of Josie’s strength, no one dared to complain about her tardiness. They all assumed she had found something good. Since it was already agreed that whatever she found belonged to her, the team members tactfully avoided asking questions.
