Chapter 335.
“Shut your damn mouth!” June Quinn said coldly. Don’t forget, I’m a tier higher than you now.”
“OK, OK,” Lord Vane replied, raising his hands dismissively. “You’re the boss, you’re the boss. But you’ve absorbed so many Cores-aren’t you worried something might go wrong? For instance, the more you absorb, the closer you get to becoming one of us?”
of our Undead
Lord Vane looked at June with an interested glint in his eyes. “Welcome to the squad.”
“Impossible,” June said with a sneer. “I know exactly what I’m doing. I won’t let myself fall into that state.”
Undead and humans were two completely different species.
The Undead couldn’t have children, but humans could.
June had no intention of becoming a monster. She still had a glorious future ahead of her. Once she stood at the peak of tramanity, she would find the most elite man in the world and give birth to the most powerful baby.
She was going to be the winner of this world.
Lord Vane shot her a sidelong glance. He didn’t really get it.
Humans and Undead were opposing species, yet this woman was willing to stand against her own kind over petty grievances,
But what did he care? As long as she targeted humans, it was fine by him.
Lord Vane raised a hand. The massive, packed ranks of the Undead immediately surged forward toward the Newport City Sanctuary, roaring as they charged.
Josie Quinn stood atop the city wall, her voice booming with authority. “My team will handle the Tier-4 Undead and above. The Tier-3 and below are yours!”
“All Undead Cores from Tier-4 and up belong to me. The Tier-3 and below belong to you!”
“Any objections?”
“None!” the Tier-5 Superpower user replied for his side. “We’ll follow your lead! But be careful!”
Josie shot him a brilliant smile. “Thanks, but they’re not worth my foncern.”
The moment the words left her mouth, Josie leaped from the wall!
Behind her, the members of the Blue Owl Squad followed suit, jumping into the fray.
The onlookers gasped in horror.
But before they could even process the shock, a massive set of green stairs made of thick vines rose from below, carrying the team safely and smoothly to the ground.
The sheer control required to manifest those stairs left everyone breathless.
