Doomsday Revenge: Payback Time (Josie) novel Chapter 336

Chapter 336.

Metal Manipulation was the ultimate class for large-scale area of-effect attacks.

The sight of nearly a hundred thousand blades rising into the air behind her was nothing short of staggering.

Every Super in Newport City was rooted to the spot in awe

The rest of her team wasn’t lagging behind either. Following the principles of the Elemental Cycle, they coordinated their attacks, unleashing a wave destruction upon the horde.

Thick, sturdy vines surged through the crowd, singling out the Tier 4 Undead and dragging them away from the rest of the pack.

With the battlefield split, the two groups could fight without getting in each other’s way.

It was time to get to work.

Lord Vane had been watching with a relaxed air, but his expression shifted as he saw the carnage.

“This woman is interesting,” Lord Vane remarked. “Don’t you want to go challenge her?

“I already have,” June replied. “I ambushed her.”

“Oh? Judging by how smug you look, I assume you succeeded,” Lord Vane said. “So, you followed us here just to ambush her a second time?”

June didn’t deny it.

Even though Cyrus Finch had forbidden her from acting on her own, he hadn’t stopped her from coming along. That was a silent endorsement.

Lord Vane nodded. “I get it. You’re waiting for me to engage her so you can sneak in a hit?”

“Tsk, tsk. Humans really are treacherous.”

“What? Are you scared? Are you afraid to go up there?” June countered. “Makes sense. You’re only a Tier-5 Apex. Josie is a Tier-6 Spatial Super and a Tier-5 Apex in both Metal and Plant Manipulation. It’s normal for you to be afraid.”

“Scared?” Lord Vane let out a mocking laugh. “Don’t try that reverse psychology on me. It won’t work.”

Despite his words, Lord Vane stood up, preparing to face Josie.

He wanted to know what her true strength was. He couldn’t beat the Tier 6 Cyrus Finch, but could he really not handle a Tier-5 Super?

“I’ll go meet her!” As Lord Vane spoke, his entire body transformed into a streak of flame as he charged forward.

Josie sensed his presence instantly.

It was a Tier-5 Apex Pyro Undead. And his aptitude was excellent.

This was a worthy opponent.

Fire countered both Metal and Plant types. This was going to be fun.

“Hold the line here! I’ll deal with him!” Josie shouted, stepping onto the heads of the Undead as she sprinted toward him.

A massive Pyro Orb screamed toward Josie’s face.

He definitely had a temper. They hadn’t even traded words before the first wave of attacks hit

Josie instantly manifested a massive metallic shield, catching the fireball with ease.

At the same time,

unleashed a barrage of small metallic blades, streaking toward Lord Vane.

Lord Vane was forced to pull back and defend. Without his focus to maintain it, the Pyro Orb shattered and dissipated. Suddenly, a massive vine erupted behind Lord Vane, shaping itself into a colossal green hand.

It slammed down from above with crushing force!

“How is that possible?” June blurted out in shock. “How can she do that? Isn’t that a Tier o Plam Manipulation ability?

Tune didn’t know that Josie’s plant powers were currently sitting at a bottleneck. She only needed a tiny spark to break through to Tier-6.

More importantly, she had the combat buff from Lirio. A portion of Lirio’s raw power was fed back into Josie.

Because of this, even though she wasnt tethnically Tier-6 mm Plant Manipulation yet, she could briefly utilize Tier-6 abilities.

Lord Vane, who was currently locked in combat with her, felt the weight of that power more than anyone.

He hesitated for a second. “Are you a Tier-6 Plant Super?”

Does it matter?” Josie shot back.

“Hahaha! You’re right, it doesn’t! Let me see what you can really do!” Lord Vane began brewing an even farger Pyro Orb, hurling it like a meteor toward Josie and the giant palm pressing down from above.

Pyro was an incredibly dominant power.

And when the elements were in his favor, the destructive force was immense.

But so what?

In the face of absolute strength, elemental advantages become meaningless!
