Doomsday Revenge: Payback Time (Josie) novel Chapter 341

Chapter 341

Chapter 341.

Josie Quinn listened to the Base Commander’s rambling complaints for a long while. Once he finally finished venting, she spok the future will only become increasingly difficult. If you’re already falling apart, there’s no point in holding on. You’ll snap eventually

The Base Commander paused, his tone shifting instantly. “Actually… I suppose I can hold out for a bit longer.”

“Alright, enough complaining. I know you won’t abandon this base,” Josie said. “Let me give you some advice.”

“Please, go ahead!” The Base Commander immediately was all ears.

Josie spoke plainly. “Abandon the coastal areas as soon as possible.”

“Why?”

“You’ve seen how powerful the marine mutants are. They can’t come onto land yet, so they aren’t a threat to the heart of traumanity,” Josie explained. “Bur soon, there will be a massive earthquake. This quake will sink these coastal regions directly into the ocean.”

“You were a university president. You should know what the landmasses looked like in prehistoric times.”

“A long time ago, this entire coastal ring was the ocean’s domain. These plains were slowly formed by sediment buildup and rain over millions of years “But this land is unstable.”

This mega-quake will be followed by a megatsunami. Every coastal region, every single one, will be swallowed by the sea.”

“But… “why?” the Base Commander asked, bewildered. “Why would such an earthquake happen? It’s not scientific!”

“The Undead exist, and you’re talking to me about science?” Josie countered.

The Base Commander was silenced instantly.

It was true. The Undead were an affront to every biological law. What else was impossible now?

Josie didn’t actually know the root cause herself. She only knew that in her previous life, a doomsday quake had occurred, shifting the planet s tectonic plates so violently the map became unrecognizable.

In the near future, she would finally learn the reason.

But the cost of that knowledge was a blow the entire planet could barely sustain. Humans and the Undead alike would suffer near extinction.

But that was a story for later.

“Anyway, while it’s still relatively peaceful, try to merge with the larger inland bases,” Josie warned. “I don’t know exactly when it will hit, but I know it y coming.”

“I see.” The Base Commander gave her a deep, searching look before nodding. “I agree to do as you say.”
