Doomsday Revenge: Payback Time (Josie) novel Chapter 387

“Sierra City, the Mountain City Josie Quinn nodded thoughtfully.

Winnie Lane immediately pulled up high-definition map, projecting it onto the large screen so everyone could see the location clearly. Initially, Josie didn’t have any strong feelings about the place. But after hearing Professor Grant’s explanation, it made perfect sense, This location was actually excellent.

Deep in the heartland, it wasn’t too far from Fort City. It won’t be an unreachable distance they could likely reach it in a few months. Before the apocalypse, the trip from Fort City to Sierra City would have taken only a few hours. Now, it would take months.

They couldn’t be sure what they would encounter or what obstacles lay ahead. The roads were largely destroyed of blocked by Undead hordes, making efficient travel impossible. They would have to navigate slowly on foot or take long detours by cax

The digital maps from the old world were essentially useless now. They had to rely on primitive paper maps, feeling their way forward one mile at a time. Furthermore, their group was a group of a moderate size-not too big, not too small-with many members who lacked combat power. This would significantly slow their pace.

Many complex factors had to be considered.

Calculating the timeline, they had to make a decision and move immediately. Otherwise, it might be too late.

“If no one has any other opinions or suggestions, then it’s settled,” Josie said, scanning the room. “I’m giving you three days to pack. In three days, we ser off for Sierra City!”

“Yes, ma’am!” the room answered in unison.

Zane Shaw asked Josie, “Since we’ve decided to leave, there’s no point in continuing the fight with the main base. It’s a waste of time and energy

“Agreed.” Josie nodded. “No point in arguing with idiots. We’ll leave this place to them!”

“Good!” Zane said. “I’ll go inform Albert Jansen’s camp right now.”

Josie nodded and turned to leave.

She truly didn’t care about the short-term win or loss. It was meaningless. What she wanted was to survive for the long haul-to outlive even Cyrus Finch himself. She wanted to live long enough to see the moment this world finally faced its end.

Zane immediately contacted the main base, stating that they didn’t need to attack anymore. Quinshaw Base was conceding, and they would move out in three days!

When the news reached the main base, the entire place went wild with joy!

They believed they had done the impossible-they had driven away a powerhouse. They had dragged the high-and-mighty Josie Quinn oft her pedestal and forced her to tuck her tail and run out of Fort City.

They had succeeded! They were victorious!

Γ

Albert Jansen and his son, Tate, shared this sentiment. They felt they had finally turned the tables and would no longer have to live in losses shadow. They finally had total control over Fort City.

Only June Quinn felt that something was off.

Josie was never someone who gave up or surrendered so easily. And in today’s battle, although the main base had lost many people, Quinshaw Base had suffered almost no significant losses.
