Chapter 415.
June Quinn immediately looked
Even though it was pitch black and hard to see, she recognized the familiar figure instantly.
It was Cyrus Finch.
He was about to slaughter the remaining humans at Fort City Base.
No doubt, he was pushing for Tier-7.
If he had found the nuclear warheads, he wouldn’t have to go through all this trouble. He could have ranked up with ease. But Josie Quinn ha those warheads into her own pocket. Cyrus had no choice but to rely on this old, gruesome method to evolve.
While the flesh and blood of ordinary humans no longer provided him with much energy, a large enough quantity could still accumulate into
power source.
If he weren’t pressed for time, he might have even kept these humans as livestock, letting then develop into high-tier Supers before devouring
June withdrew her gaze and said coldly, “It’s fine. He won’t alert the other humans.”
Arthur Quinn seemed to understand something. His eyes shifted nervously, but he pretended not to have heard a thing and looked away.
In terms of selfishness, the two of them were cut from the exact same cloth.
The convoy slowly rolled out of the gates of Fort City Base.
As the heavy gates creaked shut behind them, the people inside were still lost in their sweet dreams. They had no idea they had become abandoned pawns, completely discarded and left to be the Undead’s playground.
Julian Finch appeared silently behind Cyrus, standing on top of the wall. He looked down at the massive base from his vantage point and spoke sol
“Brother, when do we start?”
“Wait another hour,” Cyrus answered tonelessly. “Make it quick. Don’t linger. Once you’ve had your fill, go and rank up. I’ll be waiting *
“What about you?” Julian asked, tilting his head.
“Leave the Supers for me!” Cyrus replied with a hint of disdain. “The taste is a bit lacking, but I’ll have to make do.”
“Hahahaha, deal!” Julian erupted into a frantic laugh. “Even after we leave Fort City, we’ll still be the strongest Undead around!”
“Yes.” Cyrus nodded coldly. “After we clear this place, we’ll clear the neighboring city. Once the job is done, we hit the road!”
“You got it!”
As soon as Julian finished speaking, he dove straight down toward the base.
3:30 AM
The hour when people slept the soundest.
While the citizens were still dreaming, fireballs suddenly rained from the sky, punching through the roots of their homes
“Fire! There’s a fire! Someone help, put it out!” Those who woke first began to scream.
But what met them wasn’t a firefighting crew it was a literal tide of Undead
“Undead? How are there so many Undead?” people screamed in terror. “Why didn’t the base sound the alarmn!
Find someone! Anyone!”
I can’t find them! The patrol squads, the guards there in a single person in sight**
