Doomsday Revenge: Payback Time (Josie) novel Chapter 481

< Chapter 481.

Chapter 481.

At this moment, June Quinn had no idea that the name “Malcolm Monroe” would soon bring earth-shattering changes to her and her

mother’s lives.

“Are you sure Josie and the others came to Sierra City?” Sylvia Sutton asked, glancing around nervously. “Is this really going to be our new home?”

June nodded. “There’s no mistake. Josie definitely knew something ahead of time, which is why she specifically chose this place. If we follow her, we won’t go wrong.”

“Next, we’ll send people out to scout the situation in Sierra City before making any moves.”

“We only have fewer than two thousand people left. That’s a lot, but also not many at all.”

“For safety’s sake, we should join a human base.”

“Being in a strange place is too dangerous. Sierra City was a massive metropolis; with a high population comes a high number of

Undead.”

“We’re newcomers. If we don’t know the layout, we’ll suffer for it.”

“We’ll find a human base, bide our time, and then look for opportunities to grow.”

June calmly analyzed their current predicament and her plans for the future. “We still have some supplies. It should be enough to secure

our entry into a base and get settled. But we can’t live off our savings forever. We need a long-term plan.”

“The best-case scenario is to attach ourselves to someone of real influence, then expand step-by-step.”

“Does anyone have any other thoughts?”

June truly lived up to her title as the First Timeline Lead. In certain aspects, she was perfectly suited for the role. Her calm, composed planning was exceptionally rare for someone her age.

Jaxon Sterling looked at June with a gaze that was tender, lingering, and full of pride. June’s excellence made him feel that dating her was an honor and a stroke of incredible luck.

While men often liked fragile “little white flowers” who relied on them, they were even more attracted to independent, powerful women-especially in an apocalyptic world.

Even men wanted to find someone they could lean on.

Albert Jansen and his son, Tate Jansen, exchanged a quick look and reached a silent agreement to support her.

“We have no objections! We’ll follow your lead,” Albert said. “You’re the leader of this team now. Whatever you say, goes.”

With Albert speaking up, the others naturally fell in line. “Exactly! We’re with you, June!”

The corners of June’s mouth quirked up into a satisfied smile. This was exactly the result she wanted. While there had been some deviations from her original expectations, the outcome was the same.

June led the team to a small, abandoned processing plant to set up a temporary camp. The Terrestrial and Metallic Supers reinforced the interior and exterior of the facility, making it a suitable place to rest.

“I’m taking a few people out to scout,” June announced. “Keep a low profile while we’re gone. Don’t make too much noise and attract the

Undead.”

“June, be careful! Come back quickly!” Sylvia nagged worriedly. “We’ll all be right here waiting for you.”

June nodded, picked a few hundred men, and headed straight into the heart of Sierra City without looking back.
