“Penny,” Emmy said, tapping her fingers on the armrest, “that woman always with Shelly, Wiona. What’s your connection to her?”

Penny stepped forward, her tone anxious. “Ma’am, please don’t get the wrong idea. Wiona is my sister, but only on my father’s side.”
