Another pause from Lorelei before she replied. "There is no such thing as a completely side-effect-free emergency contraceptive on the market right now."

James's brows locked together in a harsh scowl.

The sound of flipping papers echoed from the other end. Suddenly, Lorelei spoke again. "However, I have Emmy's medical records right here. Her cycle has always been very regular. If I am not mistaken, according to her chart, last night should have been the day right before her period started. That falls into the safe window.
