Hector crushed his cigar into the ashtray and let out a cold snort. He asked his wife if she thought the chaos at the security checkpoint was a mere coincidence. He explained that James had orchestrated the disturbance as a cover to smuggle the woman inside. Pointing a finger at the screen, Hector coldly analyzed the situation. He stated that the matter was far from simple. Mr. Abis had previously informed him that a laboratory had produced a one-to-one android replica of Emmy, and that very android had long ago fallen into James's hands.
Narrowing his eyes like a venomous snake, Hector expressed his surprise that James had managed to send a message out despite their complete blackout of all communication signals on the Delta coast. He noted that James not only sent a message but also had the audacity to use this android to test their boundaries. Turning to his wife, Hector used an unquestionable tone. He instructed her to personally visit the VIP room and inform Mr. Abis that James was bold enough to deliver Emmy's android right to his doorstep.
Hearing this, his wife looked at him with deep concern and let out a heavy sigh. She concluded that James had no sincere intention of marrying their daughter. With so much calculation hidden in his heart, she worried whether the wedding could still proceed smoothly.
Surprisingly, Hector did not get angry at her words. Instead, a deep, rumbling laugh escaped his throat. He admitted he had underestimated James's methods. However, he firmly declared that any man his daughter desired must marry into their family, regardless of his own wishes, as long as he stood on Hector's territory.
Still feeling uneasy, the wife glanced at the surveillance monitor. She hesitantly asked if they needed to send someone to dispose of James's wife, correcting herself to call her the android.
Hector waved his hand dismissively, a trace of wariness flashing in his eyes. He explained that Mr. Abis harbored a unique obsession with Emmy. Abis would handle the android himself, so they only needed to focus on hosting the wedding without interfering in his affairs.
Nodding in agreement, the wife lifted her skirt and quickly retreated from the room.
Meanwhile, down in the massive cruise ship's first-floor lounge, Emmy sat on a leather sofa. She held a glass of lemon water brought by a waiter, quietly observing her surroundings without giving herself away. Major General Calony sat in a single armchair beside her. With a dark scowl, he grimaced while stretching the fingers of his right hand, which James had crushed earlier. He silently cursed the fact that his finger bones had been a hair's breadth away from a comminuted fracture. He thought to himself that James was an absolute monster with terrifying, inhuman strength.
Suddenly, a figure in pink came running toward them. Clarissa grabbed Emmy's hand, looking up with her vacant face, and eagerly asked the pretty lady to play with her.
Emmy froze for a moment. She recognized the young girl as the same one who had been pestering James earlier. Pulling her hand back, Emmy replied in a flat tone, apologizing and stating that she wished to rest.
