He hooked his arms under her thighs and lifted her up like she weighed nothing, his other hand reaching back to lock the door in one smooth move.
Emmy’s heart just about stopped. She grabbed onto his neck, whispering urgently in his ear, “No, we can’t! The walls are thin. Everyone will hear us!”
James set her down on the bed, arms braced on either side of her, his dark eyes burning with want.
He couldn’t help himself. He leaned down, kissing her again, his lips hot and desperate, trailing up until he found her ear.
He nipped at her earlobe, his voice low and rough, “I’ll be quiet.”
Emmy couldn’t help thinking, Seriously? Like that’s going to make a difference.
Flustered and annoyed, she smacked his shoulder. “Get up! My phone’s ringing!”
James’ eyes were still full of heat, but he forced himself to pull away. With a sigh, he grabbed her phone from the table and handed it over.
The second Emmy saw “Abriella” on the caller ID, her whole face lit up. She snatched the phone and rushed out to the balcony.
James watched her go, a little defeated, then grabbed his robe and headed for the bathroom, turning the shower to cold.

Next door, in another hospital room.
Claudia stepped inside, quietly shutting the door behind her.
Evelina looked past her mother’s shoulder, relaxing only when she saw Claudia was alone.
Her eyes were red and puffy. “Mom! Mr. Nelson ruined me... How am I supposed to face Dean now? What if he—what if he doesn’t want me anymore?”
It didn’t matter that Evelina hadn’t been innocent for a long time, or that she’d always chased after men who knew how to leave her breathless and begging for more.
But in Dean’s eyes, she’d always been perfect. Untouchable. She’d played the role so well, Dean never doubted her for a second.
She never thought Mr. Nelson would go so far.
He’d destroyed the perfect image she’d built up for Dean. He’d left her humiliated, broken.
But more than hate, she was scared.
Scared Dean would want nothing to do with her now.
All she felt was regret—real, gut-deep regret for ever getting greedy, for messing with someone like Mr. Nelson.
If she could just marry Dean without any more trouble, she’d be happy.
Claudia looked down at her, her voice cold. “Don’t worry about the future. Dean’s already decided—he’s canceling your holiday wedding.”
“What?” Evelina felt like the world just collapsed under her.
She tried to sit up, but the pain yanked her back down, leaving her gasping.
Claudia pressed her shoulder, her brow tight with frustration. “Look at yourself. Is this how my daughter should act? How many times have I told you? Men are just there to be used, not loved.”

chapter 1251 has no wording, just the chapter number...
What I was dreading the most just happened, I think I need to move on from this story and read something else. This story is breaking my heart....

Hopefully Emmy is level headed like she normally is and they can get past this. I'm praying!...
OMG! How can this be happening! If there is an issue in a marriage shouldn't it be talked through instead of someone believing rumors?...
Really, why is there always some home wrecker added to these stories? I always enjoyed reading this until now. Had to go and ruin a beautiful love story....
I enjoy reading this. I like that the storyline isn’t drawn out and moves on. I also appreciate chapters being added almost everyday, thank you....
