Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 951

The moment their lips touched, Emmy’s eyes widened. Something sparked inside her, a sweet ache that shot straight to her heart. James kissed her like she was fragile, like every second mattered. His touch was featherlight, closing the space between them inch by inch, until there was nowhere left to hide. His breath was warm against her skin, so inviting she found herself parting her lips without even thinking.

She felt her own lashes flutter shut, giving in. James noticed, and his breathing grew heavier. He slipped one hand behind her neck, pulling her closer, while his other hand traced the curve of her wet back and finally settled at her waist. Her swimsuit was soaked and clung tightly to her body, highlighting every curve. Her waist was so small in his grip, soft and delicate, like she might melt in his hands. Just holding her like this sent a jolt of heat through him, setting his blood on fire.

“Emmy…” he whispered, her name barely making it out between breaths. His voice was so hoarse it almost didn’t sound like him.

Emmy was dizzy from his kisses and could only cling to his shoulders, needing something to hold onto. James shifted, his arm strong and steady as he helped her lean back until she was lying on the sun-warmed deck.

The sun glittered on the water, turning the sea into a field of diamonds. The white yacht floated quietly above a burst of colorful coral. Beneath them, bright fish darted in and out of shadows, chasing the light. On the deck, a priceless purple conch shell lay abandoned, completely forgotten. On the other side, James stretched out beside Emmy, his body shielding hers completely. One hand cushioned her head, the other stayed locked around her waist. Out here, with nothing but the endless sea for company, he finally let go of everything he’d held back.

Neither of them knew how long they stayed like that. Eventually, James pulled away, just enough to rest his forehead against hers, their noses brushing together as they tried to catch their breath. Their breathing tangled together in the small space between them. Emmy gasped for air, her chest rising and falling quickly. The heat from his lips lingered, making her own tingle, and a thin sheen of moisture clung to her lashes. She kept her eyes down, but her breath still drifted over his neck. James looked at her, and the burning need in his eyes only grew hotter. He shifted, making it very clear how much he wanted her.

James’s eyes darkened, the heat in them fading. He buried his face in her neck, breathing in the mix of her scent and the ocean air. The urge to lose himself in her was almost overwhelming, but he held back.

After a moment, he grabbed the conch shell lying nearby, stood up, and disappeared into the cabin.

Emmy felt her cheeks burning, too embarrassed to watch him go. The breeze off the sea only made her feel hotter. She couldn’t believe it. Just one kiss had left her weak, and for a second, she’d really, truly wanted more. The emptiness inside her felt almost addictive, like if she gave in, she’d never want to stop. She smacked her cheeks with her hands, shaking her head to clear away the thoughts spinning in her mind. Taking a deep breath, desperate for relief, she dove headfirst back into the cool, blue water.
