Dumping My Ex to Flash Marry the Untouchable CEO novel Chapter 1762

Watching Grace cling so stubbornly to her own beliefs, Aurora didn’t just feel sorry for herself, she felt sorry for her mother too.

The threat of Walton Corporation being hollowed out was already laid bare right in front of her, plain as day.

And still, Grace refused to believe it was real.

If things were destined to end in bankruptcy, then there was nothing more Aurora could do.

She had truly tried to warn her. But Grace chose to live in her own world.

“I’ve said everything I can. I’ve done everything a daughter could do.”

Aurora drew in a long breath and rose to her feet.

“No matter what you think, I’ve delivered the truth. And now I finally understand that there will always be a wall between us.”

This time, the hurt ran deep.

“From now on, whatever happens has nothing to do with me. I’ve done my part for this company.”

“I told you, I don’t need you interfering. I don’t believe a word you say.”

Grace pointed toward the door, her stance even firmer than before.

“Leave this house right now. I know exactly what I’m doing. I don’t need a child lecturing me.”

“Fine. Have it your way.”

Heartbroken, Aurora left those words behind and turned to leave.

When she stepped into the courtyard, she found Arnold waiting anxiously, glancing toward the house as if hoping she’d appear.

The moment he saw Aurora’s reddened eyes, he looked genuinely puzzled.

“Miss Aurora, what happened to you?”

She had been talking with her mother just moments ago.

When she lifted her head, she met Arnold’s worried gaze.

Aurora spoke earnestly, “Mr. Lee, I think there’s still something off between me and Mom. We haven’t really found our rhythm, and it just feels… strange.”

“What’s so strange about that? You young people overthink everything.”

Aurora let out a quiet sigh, not sure how to explain it to Arnold.

But Arnold didn’t see any of it as serious. To him, especially between a mother and her daughter, nothing mattered more than who swallowed their pride first.

So Arnold asked, “Child, have you tried apologizing to your mother?

“Honestly, it’s just one sentence. Don’t get hung up on pride. Sometimes, if you look at things from another angle, you realize it’s nowhere near as difficult as you think.”

Aurora understood exactly what Arnold meant.

But she also knew, deep down, that what lay between her and Grace now went far beyond something as simple as pride.
