Dumping My Ex to Flash Marry the Untouchable CEO novel Chapter 1779

If anyone who knew her caught sight of this, how would she ever explain it to Grace?

She had just sworn at the Walton estate that she had nothing to hide and wasn’t deceiving Grace in any way.

If anyone saw this, there’d be no way she could talk her way out of it.

“Tessa, you went to see that woman. What did she say?”

Sean was genuinely curious about what Grace might have asked.

After dealing with her for so many years, he knew exactly what kind of person she was.

He understood her nature better than anyone.

“Nothing much. Mom didn’t suspect anything.”

Hearing that, Sean looked doubtful. He narrowed his eyes and asked, puzzled,

“Are you sure that’s true?”

Tessa felt her impatience rising.

“Of course it’s true. Why would I lie to you? What would I gain from that?”

Before Sean could speak, she added, “Besides, we’re tied together now. If I lie to you, what good would that do me?”

Sean nodded, finding her words reasonable.

“You’re right. We’re in this together.”

He inclined his head slightly. “So, our fortunes rise and fall together. If anything happens, you have to tell me immediately.”

“Of course. I’m not going to hide anything from you.”

Only when she saw the door tightly shut did Tessa feel a hint of relief.

“By the way, when I went to the Walton estate today, Mom seemed… strange.”

She asked Sean nervously.

Thinking about it, Sean couldn’t quite describe the feeling in his heart.

“Enough. Leave this matter aside for now. Don’t overthink it.”

He instructed her, “Just handle what I told you to do. Focus on that. You don’t need to worry about the rest.”

“Fine, I understand.”

Tessa was reluctant, but seeing how serious Sean looked, she kept quiet.

After all, completing this task would benefit both of them.

And in the future, she wouldn’t have to answer to Aurora ever again.

When the time came, the company and the Walton family would both belong to her.

All those relatives who had looked down on her would finally see her differently.

And by then, they would probably regret not treating her better from the start.
