Daniel chatted with Megan for a while before Aurora finally walked out.
She escorted the previous client to the door, then returned to greet him.
Now that he knew about her relationship with Lucas, Daniel greeted her with even more enthusiasm.
He truly hadn’t expected there to be such a connection between them.
He had sensed something unusual before, but he only thought Lucas simply appreciated Aurora’s talent.
Now it was clear—nothing stayed hidden forever, and everything had its reasons.
“Miss Walton, it’s been a while.”
“Not at all, Mr. Lewis. You’re being too polite.”
When they met, the two shook hands.
To her surprise, Aurora even felt a hint of warmth toward him.
She hadn’t expected that feeling, and it struck her as oddly strange.
After all, when they first met, everyone thought Daniel was stubborn and difficult.
He also had his own peculiar preferences, and Aurora had even prepared herself back then, thinking about how she might need to deal with him.
But now, he seemed nothing like the rumors claimed.
Even if he did have certain quirks, they were his habits; they had nothing to do with her.
As long as he wanted to make money, he would naturally give her chances to make more as well.
She didn’t need to concern herself with what kind of person he was in private. In business, as long as his character held up, that was enough.
Thinking about it, Aurora felt a faint sense of relief.
As they talked, Aurora brought up the show.
“Mr. Lewis, have you been watching Ground Level Spaces lately?”
Daniel noticed Aurora’s smile slipping mid-conversation.
Seeing that, he felt puzzled. Did he say something that upset her?
Otherwise, why would she show that kind of expression?
The more he thought about it, the stranger it felt.
“What’s wrong, Miss Walton? Did I say something I shouldn’t have?”
Aurora quickly shifted the topic.
She remembered Daniel was the benefactor of her studio; after all, her company grew from nothing to what it was now because of the first project he gave her.
Otherwise, her studio would have been an empty shell, unable to attract any work for quite some time.
“Nothing, I just wanted to ask how you think I performed on the show. If you feel the feedback is good, should we consider doing a second season?”
