Chapter 160

Emily’s POV

I cried out to the Moon Goddess, to my mother, to anyone who could hear me.

Help me.

And through the noise in my head, my mother’s voice answered, clear and loud.

You passed the test, Emily. Only the soul that doesn’t want power is worthy of holding it. My brave girlthe

gifts is yours. Use it.

A sudden explosion of energy broke out from the center of my soul. It didn’t just rush back; it felt completely endless, like a bottomless ocean filling a tiny cup.

Declan gasped, his head snapping toward me in pure shock.

Oh, EmilyDeclan laughed, a crazy, wild sound echoing in his throat. This is incredible. There is so much

power inside you!

His grip tightened, his face completely crazed. With this, you and I will conquer the entire world within days. We

will be invincible. I’m going to take you to my bed the second this ritual is done.

I looked straight into his changing eyes, without a single shred of fear. Instead, a cold, lethal calm washed over

  1. me.

You won’t take anything, Declan,I said softly.

Declan’s happy smile froze, the madness in his eyes fading as he realized, but it was too late for him.

Piece by piece, I found the dark magic inside my body.

I started with the bad power of the ritual dagger, destroying its hold on my blood. Then, I destroyed Varga’s remaining spells, burning them to ash.

Finally, my white fire climbed higher, reaching the most disgusting thing inside me.

His mark.

I let out a wave of pure power and burned his forced bond completely out of my soul. The raw skin beneath the mark healed instantly. The relief was so profound that I almost wept, not from sadness, but from the sheer ecstasy of being whole againof being mine, and mine alone.

The white light filled my veins until every single tie to Declan and Silas snapped. On my arms, all eight runes glowed with a blinding, beautiful light.

I leaned closer to him, my voice dropping to a deadly whisper. Now, watch this.

I reversed the power.

gave out. He stared down at his hands, watching in horror as his skin began to dry up and wrinkle.

.

I drank his power until nothing was left.

I felt his madness, his rage, his sickness, and the dark curse of his fatherI took it all. I didn’t stop until his body collapsed and his brain went completely dark

The life disappeared from his eyes, and the Rogue King’s son fell to the black carpetshriveled, hollow, and dead.

I looked away from his body and surveyed the courtyard.

Chaos was breaking out everywhere. Some rogues stared at me with deadly rage, ready to attack. Others stood rozen in fear, desperate to run away.

Nearby, Cindy fell to her knees, clutching her head and screaming in pain as her mate bond violently ripped apart. No! Declan, no!she shrieked, tearing at her clothes. He’s gone! My mate is gone!

Varga raised her blade, ready to strike me down.

You miserable little bitch!she spat, her eyes wild with madness. I will carve that power right out of your

:hest!

I didn’t even move. I let out a powerful roar, and the blast blew her right off her feet.

I brought my hands together and clapped.

A massive shockwave flew out from my skin. In a second, my mind entered the head of every single rogue in the Courtyard, breaking Varga’s mental chains and setting them free.

I clapped a second time. The wave grew bigger, bursting through the stone walls and filling the entire castle.

I clapped a third time. The power rushed across the mountainside reaching the deepest caves.

I clapped a fourth time, sending the magic out into the dark valleys. I didn’t stop until I evuldn’t feel a single

controlled mind near me.

The sudden drain hit me like a wall. I felt completely empty, and my legs gave out. I fell to the floor, my vision

oing blurry.

Before I hit the stone, Nathan was there. His strong arms caught me, pulling me tight against his chest. His scent

of cedar and pine needles surrounded me, calming me down.

Emily, holy shit,Liam breathed, running up to us. His eyes were wide as he looked at the quiet courtyard. You eally just did that.

Sweetheart, stay with me. Don’t close your eyes,Nathan begged, his rough hand gently touching my cheek. But his voice sounded like it was underwater. The darkness was pulling me under, and my body needed to sleep.

I let my eyes close, and the red light of the Blood Moon disappeared into complete darkness. The noise of the
