We eventually made our way to eat lunch. I started to pay attention to the décor. The rest of the packhouse was a 180 from the pristine foyer. The carpet that lined the floors was a tan with specks of blue and dark brown. The walls were painted light blue/grey and covered with pictures of past members and different events they had. There was a very homey feel to the house. Like the type of place you could walk in and put your feet on the couch without worrying about damaging anything.

The kitchen was large with stainless steel appliances. It would be a chef’s dream kitchen is all I could think. Off to the right are double revolving doors that lead to a room with a large rectangular table in it. Alpha Paul, Luna Autumn and Kelly were already sitting at the table.

“Kelly?” I asked, stunned.

“Hey girl! I never did get around to telling you I am the alpha’s daughter!”

“I guess I should have connected the dots from last night but I was a little distracted” I said, glancing over at Zach and Brooke who were just smirking.

I nodded at the alpha and Luna and sat down on the other side of Zach. There was an open seat next to Kelly. Before I could ask who it was for, the most mouthwatering guy came strutting through the doors and sat down. He was what you call ruggedly handsome. A 5 o’clock shadow covered his square jaw, dark brown, almost black hair just long enough to run your fingers threw it. His golden/brown eyes zeroed in on me as he sat down. His black t-shirt hugged every muscle and all I wanted to do was lick every one of them. Before my arousal got out of hand and everyone could smell it, I straightened up in my chair and avoided eye contact, looking straight at my plate.

“Who is this?” The sexy man said in the deepest voice.

“Wyatt, this is our new friend Nina. Zach is her friend that went to the club with us last night and they found out Zach is mated to Brooke! Guys, this is my brother, Wyatt.” Kelly said, smiling. By the look in her eyes, I could tell she knew how Wyatt appealed to me. I just gave her an empty look.

Wyatt’s eyes switched from Brooke to Zach. Zach held his gaze and didn’t let go. I felt it was more half respect and half of a challenge. Zach had no intention of looking weak in front of his possible new future alpha. Finally, Wyatt’s eyes landed on me and I could see him look up and down with what was visible. Although I was wearing a t-shirt, it was obvious I was not small breasted. This time I held his gaze with an unimpressed one of my own. I was not going to let him see how he affected me.

Thankfully, girls started bring in lunch and I was able to look away and let out the breath I didn’t realize I was holding. It was a simple lunch of cold cut sandwiches, chicken ceaser salad, and a variety of fruits and veggies. There were three different side salads of noodles of some sort.

“Nina, is it? How long are you staying here for?” Wyatt asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence.

“I agreed to stay a week.”

“I must assist you stay here for that week then,” Wyatt said, smirking.

“That has been decided already and she will be moving into a guest room until she decides if she is going to become a member or moving on”, Alpha Paul stated, and left no room for arguments.

“Becoming a member?” Wyatt asked curiously.

“Let’s leave the poor girl alone, Wyatt. She can tell you her story when she is ready” Luna Autumn came to my rescue.

“Oh, she has something to hide then?” Wyatt narrowed his eyes at me.

Oh, good gravy, this guy was getting on my nerves quickly, “Not that it is any of your business, but my parents died not that long ago and I decided to travel and get away. I have not decided on my future as my travel buddy has mated with your sister, apparently my plans are in need of changing. Now, if you please excuse us, Zach and I need to go back to our hotel room since we will be moving here.” I didn’t leave room for arguments, as I grabbed the cuff of Zach’s shirt and pulled him with me out the door.

“That was amazing!” Kelly squealed “I have been waiting for someone to put him in his place for a while now.”

“Ugh, he just got under my skin for some reason. Would you mind giving us a ride since my car is still being fixed?” I asked Kelly.
