Getting out of the shower, I heard voices talking in a hushed tone. I just rolled my eyes and started to get dressed. I am super excited about this, though! I have no idea what this could be. A trip? I could defiantly use a vacation after all this. I still had the bad feeling so I knew something was still going to happen, but I wasn’t sure what. My guard was up and I was extra jumpy as I waited for it to finally reveal itself.

After getting dressed in shorts, a t-shirt and letting my hair air dry down for once, I walked out to the living room. The boys were huddled up against the table and Kelly was scowling off to the side, glaring at them.

“What’s up?” I asked, plopping down next to her.

“Stupid ass boys won’t tell me a fucking thing!”

“IT IS FOR YOU TOO!” Reed yelled.

“I DON’T GIVE A FUCK!” Kelly responded.

“Okay, so how are those mood swings coming along?” I asked Kelly. I saw Wyatt smirk and Reed tried his hardest to cover up a smile.

“I have no idea what you are talking about!” Kelly said stubbornly, still glaring at Reed.

“Now you BOTH are here… we have found a solution to all of your girls’ concerns!”

“I had concerns?” I asked. What was I concerned about?

“Yes, you see, you were concerned about what our lives would look like after the war was over, and although we have taken down the trafficking ring, the largest threat is out there still, but we are continuing on with our lives till then. We will deal with it as it comes. Reed and I have been talking and we will need a team beside us,” Wyatt said to me. He placed blueprints on the coffee table in front of us. Both Kelly and I leaned forward to look at it. Well, I leaned forward, Kelly did this weird twist thing before she sat up. I had to stifle my laugh as she was out of breath. “This will be our house. Well, a mansion actually. There will be a separate wing for each family. Only us and our offspring will permanently live there, but we will have a visitor wing regardless. There will be a lot of visitors, I’m sure. Both of our parents” Wyatt pointed between him and Reed “have decided to stay at their own, current houses. This will be located on the piece of property that is located between both of our packs. Since I will no longer be able to be Alpha, my dad will take back over till a replacement is found. Reed will do the same.”

“What? What do you mean you are handing over the title of Alpha? I won’t be a Luna?” Kelly said almost in tears.

“Baby, we do have a choice but think about it. We could stay here and be Alpha and Luna or we could join the Royal Guards and help change the world! We will help them look at laws and change outdated traditions and help those women and children.”

“I haven’t thought of an official title for you both, but you will be directly under us. Unfortunately, not a prince or princess as that is for our kids, but you will hold power and be in charge of changing our world back to its’ glory”, Wyatt said. “You are my sister and have been instrumental in the take down of the ring. It would be an honor if you would join us to continue changing the world.”

“Well, when you put it like that…” Kelly said as she wiped away a tear that had fallen.

I sat there in silence, not sure what to say. I feel so overwhelmed by all this. A few months ago, I was just a teenager, yelling at my parents for making me come home from dress shopping and now I will be a queen. Looking at the blueprints, we would indeed have our own wing. There was a business wing and even a ballroom for events. I saw a courtroom as well as cells.

“Plus, we will need guards and other members, so we are kind of anticipating our packs joining together and all moving around the mansion. There will be a wall around it, but then we plan on building a town of sorts so both packs will live together. This will bring in a lot of business for us and money overall,” Reed said, looking at the blueprints.

“This will be a sign for a new age, one where people can come to us for problems and get real solutions. They will get to live peacefully and in harmony. This is the beginning of what the Moon Goddess intended from the beginning. This will give people hope. Since this will be a top priority, we are thinking 6 months since the land is already prepared for building and since wood will be easily accessed.” Wyatt said, trying to sell it more.

“Right here is where we will stay, and this room here is the nursery for our little one. You can decorate it however you want!” Reed said to Kelly as he rubbed her little bump. Kelly smiled and laid her head on his shoulder.

Wyatt is building our future. He is creating something that allows us all to be together but yet have our own space. Kelly started talking about all the stuff she wants to bring from home to decorate her nursery with and I didn’t have anything to bring. All I could do was stare at it. It was perfect. I couldn’t find a single thing about it that I would change. The bedroom had a large balcony, bookshelves, a large bathroom and a closet. Wyatt had really thought of everything. I honestly didn’t know how to feel. I was happy to have an answer to that question, happy to be living with my friends and people I can rely on, sad I don’t have any personal things to bring, anxious to see how everyone would think about this idea and joining us. Scared at my new place in this world. This just signaled how everyone will look to me for guidance and justice. I will have to sit in that courtroom and rule. Their lives will be in my hands.

“Nina?” Wyatt said, interrupting my thoughts, “You haven’t said anything yet?”

I looked up and all three of them looked at me, awaiting a response. I opened and closed my mouth a couple times, trying to find the right words. “I…I am not sure what t-to say. I am feeling a lot of different emotions right now.”

“Do you not like it?” Wyatt said, looking at the blueprints. A wave of disappointment went through him.

“No, I do! That’s not it at all. I love the building. It is all just so real looking at it. I will be queen and the world is on my shoulders, I will have to sit right there” I said, pointing out the placing on the blueprints, “and take someone’s life. I will be here when I read through emails. I will sit here when we host parties and events. It is just so…real looking at it”

Well shit! Each location did have its own exit that appeared to be hidden very well. I would never think of some of this stuff. Wyatt and my exit look to be an under-water cave. Reed and Kelly’s were inside of a very large tree trunk.

“Exits are in a natural location where nature will conceal it. We will have to do maintenance to the exits randomly, but if we must go through it, we will have to bust out the tree. There will not be a door, so the enemy won’t know it. You guys will have to swim a few feet to get to the top of the river. Not far at all, but still, the cave is well hidden behind moss.”

“That’s good thinking!” Kelly said, agreeing to it.

Honestly, it was the best case scenario. No one would know there is an exit on a completely untouched tree. The ground is still on our property, so no random people will be by. The cave is unfortunate, but the tunnel ends at the cave and it is a short swim up to the top. Hopefully, we will never have to do that…

“When are we going to present this to everyone?” I asked.

“The people coming over to do the ceremony want something to show we have a plan and will implement it. We will show them and get feedback on their opinions. They will be part of the guard and an extension of us overseas. We will have to make once a year minimum trips abroad to handle business there, but otherwise, they will take care of most of it or we can fax, or email everything.” Reed said.

“A vacation to Paris every year?” Kelly said, smiling.

“Business trip but yes, you can do some shopping or whatever,” Reed said, shaking his head but smiling at her.

“EEEK I can’t wait!!!” Kelly screamed and clapped her hands together.

It was all I could do to not join in and scream with her. I was getting more excited as we talked about all the possibilities that we could do. This will be a good thing! I just know it!

A knock on the door got us to stop laughing. Reed quickly rolled up the blueprints and hit them away as Wyatt walked toward the door. He waited till they were fully put away before opening the door.

“Grant’s awake” Maverick said from the outside of the door. Wyatt turned to look at me. Time to see what happened before we got there.
