I hardly slept at all these last few nights. Today I will become queen. Today my life will change, and everyone will look towards me for answers. I have been so nervous that I haven’t been able to get comfortable and have made myself throw up a few times. Wyatt keeps nagging me that I need to eat, but the food just hasn’t been settling right. This day needs to be over so my life can get to normalcy!

Deciding I was done rolling around. The clock read 5:45am. Screw it, shower it is. Frustrated, I got to the shower and turned it on hot. Slipping in, I let the water run over my muscles and relaxing smells of lavender filled the room. Wyatt had put some in the shower yesterday because he heard it would help me relax.

Today, the people doing the ceremony are coming and tomorrow it will happen. Wyatt said they will have a meeting today about how it will work and what I should expect during the ceremony and after the ceremony. Even though I will get to choose how things are run. I will be taking all the advice I can get.

Grant is out of the hospital and wants to walk me down the aisle. I mean, this isn’t a wedding and it’s not like we are close. I told him I appreciated it but I felt like walking myself would be appropriate. I think I really hurt his feelings because he got mad and walked away. Kelly thought it wouldn’t hurt having him walk me because he had sacrificed his life for me, and it wasn’t like he had a choice to not be in my life. Reed and Wyatt were a little more on my side but didn’t really have an opinion on the matter. They both felt like it was my choice, so they respected it.

A draft of cold air hit me, making goosebumps cover my skin. I tried to sink deeper under the hot water to escape the air. Wyatt finally stepped into the shower with me.

“You okay?”

“Yeah, just couldn’t sleep. Figured I might as well try to relax in the shower.” I said as I shrugged.

“Everything will be okay. I got word late last night that they had started building our palace. Once this is done and we decide the fates of the men in the cells, we will have a smooth and relaxing time.”

I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

“Honestly, when we organized the world take down, most of the rogues were killed or imprisoned, so there had been a low of rogue attacks.” Wyatt assured me. He grabbed the shampoo bottle and put someone in his hand. He turned me around and began to massage my hair. “We will get through this together.”

I just sighed as he washed my hair and body. Nothing was sexual about it, just purely him trying to pamper me and make me feel relaxed and calm. He quickly washed himself and we got out of the shower. Wyatt handed me a towel and we dried off.

“I picked out an outfit for you today. You don’t have to wear it but I thought it would look nice today,” Wyatt said, looking uncomfortable. He kind of spit those words out, he was nervous, I realized.

“I am sure I would love to wear it,” I said confidently. I walked to the closet, and he had indeed picked up clothes for me. It was a very sophisticated dress. A royal blue dress with long sleeves, a V-neckline and stopped just below my knees.

“Obviously, you don’t have to wear that all day. Just for the meeting that is at 11. I have arranged for you to get a massage and facial this morning at 7:30am. The suit I am wearing is right here and will match perfectly. And yes, Kelly will be joining in on this pamper day. She is the one who suggested it and organized it.”

“How in the hell does she do all of this?” I asked, shocked. This girl had a gift.

“I honestly don’t know. She is born for this”. Wyatt shook his head.

“We honestly need to find a good title for them and make sure they have a senior position.”

“I know, I have been thinking about it too.”

Wyatt just handed me a robe since I was getting undressed for the massage anyway. We made our way out to the living area and he started the coffee.

Suddenly the bedroom door busted open, and a flustered Kelly ran in. “Oh, thank the Moon goddess you are awake! I was scared I was going to have to drag you out of bed!”

Wyatt had lifted an eyebrow at her, “What if we were fucking on the bed and you interrupted us?”

Kelly looked taken aback for a second before glaring at her brother, “Well you guys better be fucking a lot because I want my kid to have a cousin to grow up with! Hurry up already!” Looking at me, “I need to shower, and I will be back. He-” Kelly said violently, pointing at Wyatt, “told you it was my idea for the spa day? He didn’t take the credit?”

“HAHAHA yes he told me”

“GOOD” She shouted and turned around to leave, slamming the door shut on her way out.

“Good luck with that today…” Wyatt said, handing me a cup of coffee.

“Yeah, well, when I get pregnant, I better not have those mood swings.”

“Speaking of which, when will we have kids?” Wyatt said with a sparkle in his eye.

I snorted into my coffee. I am slowing acquiring the taste. “Not for a while. Besides, it’s not like we have been careful.”

“You could be pregnant right now!” Wyatt exclaimed.

“Better not be! Not till all this is over and our palace is built.”

“That is what grandma and grandpas are for! Babysitting!”
