Chapter 228 Free Trading
Serena just looked at him coldly. She had nothing to say to someone who already had one foot in the grave.
“Lyle, you talk quite tough,” Robin said with interest.
“You were the one who sent those people last night, weren’t you?”
Lyle held his head high. “So what if it was me! They are such useless trash. How did they fail to burn you to death!”
“That is too bad.”
Walking to his side, Robin said slowly, “From the way you talk, you seem very confident in your abilities?”
“Of course!”
Lyle sounded arrogant, his eyes full of disdain. “Only trash like Serena would treat you with respect. If it were me, I’d never let you run wild in our base!”
“I see.”
Robin dragged out her words. She couldn’t be bothered to waste more breath on someone this stupid. She casually said to Serena, “I don’t want to see this person again. Handle it cleanly.”
Serena’s heart tightened. She quickly replied, “Yes, Ms. Neel, I understand!”
She turned around and said coldly in front of everyone, “Throw him out of the base. Feed him to the zombies!”
Lyle’s eyes widened in terror. “Wait, Serena, what did you say? What did you just say?! You backstabbing traitor, how can you do this to me?!”
Serena gave
a look. One of the strong men holding him kicked him hard in the back, knocking him to the ground. He couldn’t get up for a long time. “Behave yourself!”
But when death was knocking at the door, how could Lyle behave?
He tried desperately to lunge forward. “You cannot do this, you really cannot do this! Serena, you have no conscience! Heaven will punish you for this!”
“Take him away!”
Serena’s voice turned even colder.
The two men dragged Lyle out. His screams grew farther and farther away. Serena let out a long breath, then turned back and asked carefully, “Ms. Neel… are you satisfied with this way of handling things?”
“It’s fine.”
Robin nodded meaningfully. “Serena, you should know that what I like most about you is how well you understand the situation.”
Serena’s heart trembled. She quickly said, “I’ve always believed that only those with real strength can control this world.”
“You talk nicely.”
Ella couldn’t help but laugh. “A woman who can become a team leader is never simple.”
Ella said calmly, “Just remember what Robin said. No matter what happens, she doesn’t want too many people to die.”
“O-okay.”
Serena swallowed hard and left nervously.
Sure enough, by the afternoon, the previously quiet Centerville suddenly erupted into chaos!
Outside, people were shouting everywhere, curses mixing together. Willard came in with another guard.
With an excited face, Willard said, “Ms. Neel, the news has spread widely. Just as you expected, the residents of the Outerville have rioted. The wall between the Centerville and the Outerville has already been broken!”
The other guard looked worried. “The situation outside is very chaotic. The Centerville residents are strongly resisting the Outerville people. They’re organizing to drive them out!”
Drake shook his head. “They won’t succeed.”
Even though there were more ability users in the Centerville, their total population was far smaller than that of the Outerville!
With so many people in the Outerville, sheer numbers alone would win.
“The time is right,” Robin said.
“Now, spread the news again. Any Centerville resident who is willing to take in Outerville residents can come to me and get a bag of rice for free.”
