Chapter 277 A New Commander Rises
Robin spoke in a calm voice. “If you decide to do something, go all in. Don’t leave yourself a way out.”
Isaac’s whole body shook and roared, “I can do it!”
“That’s more like it.” Robin nodded with a faint smile.
There had been over 50 people in the base. After the battle, 8 had died. David had taken another 6 with him. Now, only a little over 30 were left.
Everyone gathered together. It was the perfect time to announce something big.
Domingo called them in. First, he told them the base would join Robin. Then, under everyon shocked gaze, he made another announcement: starting today, Isaac would be in charge of the base.
“What? Isaac? No way,” someone muttered.
In their minds, Isaac had always been just like them. Now, he had moved up the ranks and become their commander. It was hard to accept.
Robin said lightly, “From today on, your base is part of mine. That means I make the rules. If anyone disagrees, you can leave right now. I won’t stop you.”
She had saved their lives. Even if some of them felt upset, they had no choice but to swallow it.
Robin could see it clearly. People were obedient on the outside, but not fully convinced inside. Still, that wasn’t her problem anymore.
This was Isaac’s first test as the new commander. If he couldn’t handle the situation, then maybe he wasn’t fit for the role.
“Since your base has joined me,” Robin went on, “I’ll show my sincerity too.”
“Congratulations, host. A new base has joined. Do you want to activate the automatic exchange shop at the new base?”
Finally.
A faint smile touched Robin’s lips. “Activate.”
The next second, right in front of everyone, a building rose out of thin air.
It looked like an invisible giant 3D printer was working in the air. Bit by bit, the automatic

exchange shop took shape.
No one there had ever seen anything like it.
Even before the apocalypse, this type of technology was much more advanced than anything they had previously encountered.
Robin took out the points storage chip implantation device as usual and explained the rules o the automatic exchange shop. Everyone’s eyes lit up.
The shop could trade for all kinds of supplies.
Supplies were what they lacked the most. But now, just like that, the problem was solved.
They only needed to kill zombies and earn points to exchange for what they needed.
Before this moment, they had risked their lives again and again just to find a little food or gear Occasionally, they came back with nothing.
Now, as long as they killed enough zombies, they could live a normal life. Who wouldn’t be excited?
Inside the clear display windows were all kinds of goods.
It was like a small-scale supermarket; everything was there.
From that moment on, Robin became a goddess in their eyes.
She didn’t need to say another word. The moment the shop appeared, it meant they were completely under her control.
“Congratulations. Your territory has expanded again. Reward: Top-tier armored vehicle *1, standard armored vehicles ×3, and basic armored vehicles >7.”
Armored vehicles!
Robin’s eyes shone with excitement. The system’s rewards were getting bigger and bigger. They stayed at the base for one night. Early the next morning, Robin’s group prepared to leave.
“Are you sure you don’t want to stay longer?” Domingo asked. Meeting them felt like a dream. They had come suddenly and now they were leaving just as fast.
“No,” Robin said, shaking her head. “We have something important to handle in Kapitol.”
Isaac pressed his lips together. “Will we see you again then?”

Finished
“Of course.” Robin raised a brow. “I may not stay here, but this base is partly mine. If I get the chance, I’ll come back.”
Lizzie quickly asked, “Then, if we want to find you, where should we go?”
Waiting around felt too passive. She wanted a way to reach them.
Robin thought for a moment. “You can try Klam Zoo or Redwood Military Base.”
“Klam Zoo… Redwood Military Base…” Lizzie repeated softly. “Got it.
“Safe travels,” she added. “Please be careful out there.”
After saying goodbye, Robin and her team got back on the road to Kapitol.
Isaac stood there, watching their car disappear at the end of the highway. A strange emptiness settled in his chest.
