Jessica’s knee hurt badly. Lying on the floor, she braced herself with both hands and bit her lower lip hard. Her messy hair fell over her face, hiding the hatred in her eyes,

Out of the corner of her eye, Ella noticed what Robin was doing and said in surprise, “Robin?”

She actually saw Robin walk up and help Jessica to her feet!

Seeing the slim hand in front of her, Jessica was even more shocked.

She stared with wide, pretty eyes, and even forgot to let her tears fall.

Robin seemed like she didn’t see her surprise. With a calm face, she said, “That was careless. Max, how could you treat a girl like that?”

After quickly checking Jessica’s knee and seeing it was just a skin injury and not a broken bone, she said in a casual tone, “What are you waiting for? Since we caused trouble for others, we should fix it ourselves. Max doesn’t believe in our strength, right? Then we should show him.”

As she spoke, she turned and started to leave.

Dane and Ella came back to their senses and followed behind Robin, walking straight toward the door they came through.

Seeing what the three of them were doing, Max’s face turned dark right away!

“You bitches don’t even know what’s good for you!”

He finally dropped his fake act and showed a cruel grin. “You think you can use this chance to run away? Go! Grab them! No one I want has ever escaped. Tonight, I’m going to have some fun!”

As soon as he finished speaking, dozens of people behind him rushed forward with weapons.

They held all kinds of things–mops, brooms, even pieces of broken pipes.

They charged in like a wave, filling up the already narrow hallway until there was no space left.

Dane’s face turned dark. Now he understood. From the start, Max had his eyes on Ella and Robin. As long as they passed through this building, even if they hadn’t let those zombies out, these people would have found another reason to force them to stay.

They didn’t even find the “little friend” they came to pick up, and instead caused this huge mess.

If he hadn’t accidentally let the zombies out, they wouldn’t have run into this building, and none of this would have happened.
