It was simply outrageous.

Tatiana carried her toolkit up to the top floor and ran into Renee, who enthusiastically approached her. “Cindy, you’re finally here. The Chairman wants you to tidy up the office first, and I’ll help you out.”

Renee didn’t find the instruction strange at all; in fact, she felt a sense of relief. Heaven knows she had nearly been fired before for failing to clean the office properly!

“Alright.”

It was just a job, what did it matter how it got done?

She went to start tidying the office, but the moment she pushed the door open, she froze.

Tatiana stood in the doorway, gripping the broom in her hand, while Renee behind her immediately cursed aloud, “Who did this?!”

The office was a complete mess, looking as if it had been thoroughly vandalized—a scene of total devastation.

Renee turned to Tatiana. “Cindy, are you okay?”

“I’m fine.”

She said nothing more and started cleaning.

The meeting had been abruptly paused. Everyone kept their heads down, afraid to speak. The Chairman had just unleashed a furious temper, leaving them feeling utterly exposed and

nervous.

Jasper pressed the bridge of his nose and dismissed them with a single sentence: “Get out. Only return when you have solutions.”

Everyone immediately got up and scurried out, afraid that a moment’s delay would mean their doom.

Jasper let out a heavy breath, leaning back in his chair to rest his eyes.

He had been awake all night, dark circles visible beneath his eyes. He completely ignored his body’s demanding reaction, forcing himself through the ordeal.

“Boss.”

Felix stepped forward and called out softly, “Ms. Zeller was here just now,”

Hearing this, Jasper snapped his eyes open. “Why did that lunatic woman come? Couldn’t anyone stop her?”

It wasn’t just messy; it looked like a battlefield.

Jasper instinctively started to say, “Have someone clean it…” His words halted, and he abruptly stood up and walked toward the office.

He reached the office and saw someone tidying up inside, their slender figure facing away from him.

Renee saw the Chairman first. She was about to speak when the Chairman made a hand gesture, which she instantly understood. She immediately shut her mouth and walked out.

Soon, only the two of them remained in the office.

Tatiana, unaware, was trying hard to stand on her toes to place a decoration back on the shelf. Since she wasn’t tall enough, she had to pull a chair over and climb onto it.

But her left foot, still tender, couldn’t bear the weight and twisted, sending her tumbling downward.

She looked up, her eyes indifferent, and slowly asked, “Are you going to fire me?” She paused, then added, “Can my wages be paid today?”

These words ignited Jasper’s anger. His eyes were clouded with menace, and he stared intently at her, his voice sharp with warning. “Tatiana, don’t use that tone with me.”

“My name isn’t Tatiana, I’m Cindy.”

He became even more certain that she truly had amnesia and didn’t remember the

past.

Just as he was about to speak, his phone suddenly vibrated. He turned to answer the call.

Tatiana silently packed her tools, preparing to leave the office.

“Stop.”

She froze.

Jasper hung up the phone, grabbed her arm directly, and walked out.

“What are you doing?”

“Don’t ask questions.”

Tatiana couldn’t break free and stopped struggling, allowing herself to be dragged along.

Only when they were in the car did she realize something was wrong. “Where are we going?”

He spoke two words coldly, “The hospital.”
