hapter 151 Unwilling Care
He smiled. “You couldn’t bear to do it, after all.”
“Maniac!”
He didn’t deny it and quickly carried her back to the villa.
A subordinate brought a first–aid kit forward but was waved away; they left the kit behind.
Jasper pointed to the wound. “You did this. You treat it.”
“Why should I!”
She had never met such a shameless person!
“You won’t do it?”
“That’s right. I won’t.”
He let out a low sigh. “You used to be willing.”
Her expression froze.
She had earned a nurse certification and knew how to treat and bandage wounds.
She had gotten that certificate for Jasper.
Back when he had just taken over the Jackson family enterprise, Jasper was practically a living target. Amidst the turmoil, countless enemies wanted to tear a piece of flesh from the young heir. He faced endless pursuits and assassination attempts almost daily and was often injured.
To become a qualified Mrs. Jackson, to stand by his side as a supportive wife, she had learned almost everything she could.
She explained stiffly, “That was in the past. It’s over.”
He said nothing, his deep gaze locked on her, filled with an unreadable emotion.
She looked away, a flush of panic rising in her chest.
He gradually moved closer, his shadow enveloping her. He braced one hand on the sofa back behind her, almost trapping her in his embrace. His voice was hoarse.
“Tatiana, it’s not over yet.”

Jasper deliberately turned his neck, exposing the spot where she had bitten him.
Blood had splattered on his white collar. It looked severe.
He just maintained this posture, perfectly still.
Waiting in silence.
Tatiana couldn’t stand it anymore. She pushed him away forcefully. “Give me the first–aid kit!”
He silently quirked his lips and handed her the kit.
She disinfected and bandaged the wound with practiced case, but her movements were decidedly not gentle.
She remarked sarcastically, “Are you satisfied now?”
Jasper’s jaw tensed, and he narrowed his eyes. “You did that on purpose.”
Disinfecting with that much force, clearly causing pain–how could it not be deliberate?
“You can always have someone else treat it.”
“I don’t like other people getting close.”
A sensitive spot like the neck… if it were anyone else, they probably would have been kicked away before they even got near.
Come to think of it, it seemed only she could get close to this spot.
A strange emotion welled up.
Tatiana disliked this atmosphere. She stood up abruptly, wanting to return to her room, but she forgot her shoeless foot had been cut by the sharp gravel. The moment she stood, the stones embedded themselves deeper, making her hiss in pain.
She nearly fell back onto the sofa.
Jasper grabbed her waist. “Careful! You…” Seeing her pale face, he swallowed the rest of his words.
Looking down, he saw her foot, covered in dirt and blood, in a pitiful state.
“You’re hurt?”
“I’m fine!”

“Stop struggling. Sit down.”
His tone brooked no refusal. He pressed her back down onto the sofa, had someone bring water, and wiped her foot. Only then did he see several pieces of gravel embedded in her flesh.
He frowned, sneering. “You’re truly ruthless when you want to escape.”
She had walked all the way here on stones, unafraid of the pain. Did she want to leave him that badly?
Tatiana ignored his mockery, gritting her teeth against the pain. She pulled her foot back. “It’s none of your business.”
“Don’t move! Do you want to lose this foot?”
His voice was loud and stern.
She was frightened, her whole body stiffening, not daring to move.
Jasper knelt on one knee, took out tweezers, and carefully plucked out the stones.
He knitted his brows. “Call a doctor.”
“Yes, sir.”
Soon, a doctor arrived and professionally treated Tatiana’s foot. He then turned, saw Jasper’s bandaged neck, and jumped in shock. He immediately asked, “Sir, do you need me to re–treat that for you?”
He refused flatly. “No need.”
Tatiana glanced at him, her expression strange.
She had treated his wounds before, but he would always call a doctor to re–dress them immediately afterward, not wanting her to touch him at all.
He had detested her to the extreme.
By the time everything was treated, it was already three in the morning. Tatiana’s body was exhausted, but her mind was taut, all because he had not left.
Having been locked up here for three days, she had almost never seen him at night.
He’s still not leaving now… so, where is he staying?
“Rest early. We’re going to see Grandfather tomorrow.”

Tatiana’s heart stirred. I can go out tomorrow?
Jasper saw her eyes light up and resisted the urge to shatter her beautiful fantasy.
He picked her up, carried her upstairs step by step, kicked open the bedroom door, and placed her on the bed.
The moment Tatiana touched the bed, she immediately shrank into the corner, clutching the blanket tightly and wrapping herself up securely, like a hedgehog.
He scoffed. “If I wanted to do something, you couldn’t stop me.”
The next moment, the expression on his face stiffened.
He saw that a fruit knife had appeared in her hand at some unknown point.
The blade glinted coldly; it was very sharp.
His gaze slowly darkened. “You want to kill me?”
The tip of the knife shifted, slowly aiming at her own tender neck.
“No, I can’t kill you. But I can kill myself.”
