Even in Darkness She Chose to Rise (Tatiana and Jasper) novel Chapter 227

**Even the Night Couldn’t Silence Her Light**
**Chapter 227: A Truckload of Roses**

“Have we considered intervention therapy?”

“Mhm. Unfortunately, it hasn’t yielded much success.”

“Ann is still so young…” The weight of her concern pressed heavily on Anna’s heart. “Is it something she acquired, or could it be genetic?”

Tatiana halted, her mind racing with possibilities. The thought of genetics had never crossed her mind before. “I once heard that if parents carry a family history of hereditary diseases, it can heighten the risk of mental illness in their children.” She reflected on Ann’s tender age, her innocence untouched by significant trauma. It seemed improbable that this was acquired. So… was it truly genetic? Was it a burden passed down from her lineage, or perhaps from Jasper’s side?

Just then, a sharp knock jolted her from her thoughts.

Knock, knock.

“What was that?” Tatiana murmured, her curiosity piqued.

“Hello, delivery for Ms. Su?” The voice belonged to a delivery worker, clad in a uniform, standing at the threshold with a delivery slip in hand.

Anna turned to Tatiana, her brow furrowing. “Did you order something?”

Tatiana shook her head, a frown creasing her forehead. “No, this must be some sort of mistake.”

“The address is accurate. Are you Ms. Steele? Phone number 134xxx?”

“Yes, that’s me.”

“Then it’s indeed correct. Your delivery is waiting outside. If you could step out to verify it, I would appreciate it if you could sign here.”

Outside? Before Tatiana could voice her confusion, a chorus of excited exclamations erupted from the hallway.

“Wow!”

“What’s happening?” Tatiana’s unease deepened as she heard the commotion.

“Miss, please! I really need you to sign for this. If you don’t, they will dock my pay! My entire month’s work will be wasted!” The delivery worker’s desperation was palpable, tugging at her heartstrings.

Anna, intrigued, ventured outside for a glimpse, returning moments later with a look of astonishment etched across her features. “You really need to see this.”

With a mix of trepidation and curiosity, Tatiana followed her outside. A group of young women had gathered by the hallway window, their eyes wide with wonder as they peered down.

“Oh my god, it’s stunning!” one exclaimed, her voice filled with awe.

“Who could have sent such a magnificent gift? The girl signing for it is incredibly lucky!” another chimed in.

“It’s like something out of a fairy tale!”

“Bulgarian red roses! Exquisitely rare! Air-freighted! A truckload like that must cost a fortune!”

Tatiana’s expression turned serious as she gazed down. Indeed, a massive convertible truck was parked below, overflowing with vibrant red roses, their beauty captivating a throng of onlookers, many eagerly snapping photos. She wished fervently that she could vanish into thin air, to escape the attention.

“Miss, please! I’m begging you to sign for this. I have bills to pay. If they dock my pay, I can’t support my kids,” the delivery worker pleaded, desperation lacing his tone.

The girls by the window exchanged glances, their excitement palpable. “Is it really her?”

“Mommy, who is it?” Ann’s innocent voice broke through her turmoil.

Tatiana quickly suppressed her emotions, tucking the letter away with a forced smile. “Oh, it’s nothing, sweetie. Just a friend thanking Mommy for her help.”

Ann’s eyes sparkled with delight at the sight of the flowers. “Pretty flowers!”

“Do you like them, Ann?” Tatiana asked, striving for normalcy.

“Mhm! I love them!”

“Then let’s go take a closer look,” she suggested, hoping that clever little Ann wouldn’t sense the tension in her voice.

However, the sheer volume of roses posed a dilemma. There were far too many for them to bring home.

Ann, ever the thinker, piped up with a bright idea. “Mommy, we could give them to people passing by! Everyone loves beautiful flowers! But we can’t just give them away; people might fight over them.”

“What do you suggest we do?” Anna inquired, intrigued by her daughter’s enthusiasm.

“Everyone who takes a flower has to post: ‘New song releasing December 12th.’ That way, we can give away flowers and promote Mommy’s new song at the same time!”

Anna’s eyes widened in admiration. “That’s a brilliant idea! Ann, you’re so clever!”

Without wasting another moment, they sprang into action. Anna enlisted a few colleagues to help distribute the roses, spreading the word that people could also take photos with the extravagant display of flowers.

The excitement was palpable as they set their plan into motion, the truckload of roses transforming into a symbol of hope and connection amidst the chaos.
