Even in Darkness, She Chose to Rise
Chapter 308 Hijacked
“Mommy, Mommy.”
Ann gently nudged her.
“What’s wrong?”
“Shh.”
She was instantly alert, lowering her head and leaning in
Ann said in a very soft voice, “Mommy, I just went to the bathroom and saw two flight atte. guns, hidden under their skirts.”
Tatiana’s expression tightened. “Are you sure?”
Ann nodded. “Mommy, are we in danger?”

“Shh. Act like you don’t know, understand?”
“Okay.”
No matter how mature and sensible, Ann was still a three–year–old child. Her first reaction upon seeing weapons was still to worry about her mom, and she was still afraid.
In contrast, Hubert, sitting beside them, was fast asleep, oblivious.
They were on a private jet. Besides them, there were no other passengers. The personnel on board consisted of one pilot, three flight attendants, and one trusted bodyguard who was accompanying them.
Before leaving, she had heard Jasper say he had a traitor in his ranks.
So among these people… how many could be trusted?
Her heart was in her throat.
There was no disturbance throughout the flight.
Even when a flight attendant came by to deliver juice, she wore a bright smile.
She didn’t trust anyone, not even the accompanying bodyguard.
Until the plane landed. As Tatiana was preparing to disembark with the children, the bodyguard noticed something was wrong and immediately demanded, “This isn’t Norman Airport!”
The next second, a gun was pressed to his head.
The flight attendant holding the gun still wore a sweet smile. “Sir, please cooperate and exit the plane. We have reached this flight’s final destination.”
Hubert was stunned. Just as he was about to speak, Ann clapped a hand over his mouth.
Tatiana held the two children tightly. “Where is this?”
Another flight attendant slowly walked over. “Welcome … Prince Harbor.”

Prince Harbor.
How could it be here?

He stealthily tried to press the emergency alarm. The moment his hand moved, a gun fired at his arm. Blood splattered.
Ann and Hubert screamed in fright.
Tatiana pulled them into an embrace. “Don’t look!”
The bodyguard wasn’t dead, but he had lost his ability to resist. He endured the intense pain. “Think clearly. If anything happens to them, the boss won’t spare anyone.”
Originally, everyone on the plane was Jasper’s subordinate.
Now, all except the bodyguard had defected.
He had vetted them one by one, confirmed the selections over and over, and placed the person he trusted most on this plane. In the end, there was still a problem.
“Men die for wealth, birds die for food. It’s an eternal truth.”
“Ms. Tati, please disembark. The car is waiting to pick you up.”
Tatiana slowly walked out with the two children.
She knew very well that she had to find a chance to run, otherwise, once she got in their car, she would be completely at their mercy.
As a third–world country, Haiti was in a long–term state of chaos. Even its only airport was dilapidated, filthy, and disorderly. The air reeked of rot.
Ann and Hubert stuck close to their mom, observing the unfamiliar environment, their small faces tense. They didn’t cry or fuss.
The injured bodyguard was also roughly dragged up and forcibly taken away.
Two cars were parked outside the airport, clearly there to pick them up.
Several tall men in camouflage uniforms got out of the cars, each holding a weapon. They looked like a local private militia.
One of the flight attendants stepped forward to negotiate. “Transport them back. Ensure their safety.”
The man in the lead looked them up and down, his expression mocking.
“Just these few? Worth hiring us for? A woman, kids, oh, and an injured piece of trash?”
Several men burst out laughing.

The bodyguard suppressed his anger, searching for an opportunity.
The flight attendant, however, reminded him: “Don’t let any accidents happen. The consequences…”
Before she could finish, a gunshot rang out.
