Chapter 449 Wild Instincts
“You’ve even learned that word?”
“Of course! I’m an incredibly fast learner!”

Tammy successfully changed the subject. It was only later that she realized Tatiana hadn’t actually answered the question, but seeing the subtle look of relief on Tatiana’s face, she felt as if she understood everything. Tatiana cared deeply for this man.
Tammy decided to take matters into her own hands and walked toward the other group.
Norman was currently soaking up the sun. He looked up, a smirk playing on his lips. “Well, if it isn’t our beautiful primitive.”
Tammy bared her teeth at him–a look that was both fierce and stunning. “I’m looking for him, not you.”
“Looking for who? Jasper? What do you want with him?”
“None of your business.”
“So mysterious. Now I really want to know.” Norman rose from his lounge chair and stood directly in Tammy’s path. He wasn’t wearing a shirt, revealing a lean, powerful torso with bronzed skin and eight–pack abs. His body was a map of a man’s history–scar upon scar, a jarring testament to his life. Norman had survived this long by essentially snatching his life back from the Reaper.
“You’re annoying. Move.”
“Annoying, am I? Well, I’m staying right here. You want to hit me?”
Foster, who was busy starting a fire, shot him a look of pure disdain. “Are you trying to be a common thug now?”
Norman turned to argue. “How is this being a–Gah!”
He let out a sharp cry of pain. Tammy had delivered a direct punch to his gut. She was incredibly strong, and even a man like Norman felt it when he was caught off guard./
“Damn! You actually hit me!”
“I don’t like you!” Tammy had zero patience for being teased. If she could fight, she wouldn’t waste time talking.
At first, Norman simply dodged her strikes, but he quickly realized he had underestimated her. This woman moved like a mountain cat–startlingly fast and impossible to pin down. Between being unable to catch her and taking hits, even a man made of iron would start to wear down.
Norman’s temper finally flared. “That’s enough!”
Tammy ignored him, seizing an opening to land another punch, a look of triumph on her face. Norman’s eyes went cold. The playful, rakish mask vanished, replaced by a lethal intensity.
Tammy’s animalistic instincts screamed danger. She tried to pull back, but suddenly her throat tightened.,

Chapter 449 Wild Instincts
Her arms were pinned behind her back, and her spine was pressed firmly against the man’s chest. It was perfect chokehold; she couldn’t move an inch. Even her breathing became labored.
Refusing to lose, she struggled even harder. But the more she fought, the tighter the grip became, until her windpipe felt like it was about to collapse. An ordinary person would have surrendered out of fear. Bot Tammy wasn’t ordinary. The more she was restrained, the more she fought like a cornered animal, heedless of the risk to her own life.
In the end, it was Norman who grew worried she would actually snap her own neck. He let go.
“I’m done playing! You crazy woman! You really want to die, don’t you?”
He had stopped, but Tammy hadn’t. Taking advantage of the release, she launched a final counterattack. Her fist connected with Norman’s jaw, nearly loosening a molar.
“You little-! Have you had enough yet?”
Tammy said nothing, continuing her assault. Even though she was outmatched, the word ‘surrender‘ didn’t exist in her vocabulary. Norman was forced to block and neutralize her attacks over and over. Though he was the superior fighter, he was clearly holding back, while Tammy was going all out. He took several more blunt hits for his restraint.
Finally losing his patience, Norman used a grappling maneuver to pin her to the ground. He held her down firmly, their bodies inches apart, their breaths mingling in the heated air.
“Let go of me!” Tammy screamed.
“You crazy girl, can’t you take a joke?”
“I’m not crazy!”
“You can’t beat me.”
This only made Tammy angrier. She struggled with renewed fury. “Let go!”
In her anger, she looked like a provoked cub–both fierce and adorable, her eyes burning bright. At this distance, she was exceptionally vibrant. Norman’s rogue nature got the better of him. He let out a low whistle and chuckled. “So pretty, yet so vicious?”
He had seen plenty of beauties, but women with this kind of raw, wild allure were rare–a pure, unadulterated beauty laced with a hint of danger. He arched an eyebrow.
“Do you give up? Hmm?”
Her response was to sink her teeth into his arm. She bit down hard, as if trying to tear a piece of flesh away.
