‘Great job, Ann, Hubert.”

Tatiana spoke softly through her encrypted earpiece. She watched the monitors with a proud smile. Her kids had really come through for her.
‘Mommy, all the main nodes are live. We have ninety–eight percent coverage. Uncle Xavier’s evidence package is fully deployed.”
Hubert smirked with a level of confidence way beyond his years. He hit the enter key one last time.
“Global loop command is locked. No one can cut our broadcast for at least ten minutes.”
He hopped off his chair and brushed his hands together like he was getting rid of cookie crumbs.
“Done. The adults can handle the rest now.”
Ann put her tablet away and grabbed her mother’s arm. “Yep! Mission accomplished! That fake association won’t be able to lie to anyone ever again!”
Tatiana ruffled Ann’s hair and gave her a warm look. “You did a very good thing today.”
Hubert’s eyes sparkled. “Mommy, that’s the biggest thing I’ve ever done!”
“Me too!” Ann added. “It was so exciting!”
Jasper walked over and looked at them with a kind expression. “Well, everyone is going to remember this. You’ve definitely made your mark on history.”
The two kids burst out laughing.
This tiny team of Ann, Hubert, and a few elite experts had pulled off a digital ambush that shook the city. They did it like ghosts, finishing the job and then vanishing back into the data, leaving the world in total
shock.
With the footage playing citywide and anonymous files hitting every newsroom, the Association’s house of cards collapsed instantly. The public outcry was just the start.
Over the next few hours, more gifts from anonymous sources were sent to reporters and the police. It was a waterfall of scandals. There were forged financial records, secret accounts for embezzling donations. recordings of them threatening real environmentalists, and even signed agreements with illegal mining companies to scare off competition.
The Association’s social media pages were buried under public rage. Their website crashed. Public trust was dead.
By that evening, the sound of sirens replaced the online noise.
Police swarmed the Association’s headquarters and their secret labs. They hauled out the core management team and the scientists from the videos in handcuffs. They were charged with fraud, endangering public safety, animal cruelty, and conspiracy.

The camera flashes were back, but this time they weren’t capturing charity events. They were catching the glare of handcuffs and suspects hiding their faces with their jackets.
The auction was obviously canceled. Everyone knew someone had orchestrated this entire downfall. The move was too massive and too perfect. They all wondered who was behind it.
As the dust started to settle, Tatiana’s spokesperson released a statement to the media.
“Regarding the wolf attacks at Mine Number 9, Ms. Tatiana’s VFX studio confirms that the most graphic images and clips circulating online were actually early effects tests for her upcoming movie, Predators Hunt. We aren’t sure how these production materials leaked or were mistaken for real events. We regret
any
confusion this has caused.”
The statement included behind the scenes photos of the special effects work. It showed the same bloody scenes and fierce wolves with movie set markers. It was the final blow.
The public was confused. Were the scariest photos fake? Was it all just movie promo? Then what about the Association’s conspiracy? They all wondered.
The sma
people caught on immediately. Tatiana was cleaning house and tying up loose ends. She had played a massive game. While Borris thought he was setting a trap for her, she had been the one setting a trap for him.
The Friends of Nature Association was finished. The conspiracy ended with the ringleaders in jail and their lies exposed to the world.
Mine Number 9 was finally peaceful again. Tatiana ordered the miners to move back into their dorms. But she wasn’t going back yet. She had someone to pick up.
High on the tower, the wind kept howling. It turned the chaos of the world below into a distant hum.
Inside, Tammy sat curled up on the cold sofa. Her eyes were glued to the screen as she watched the entire world turn upside down.
