Chapter 643 Jealous Fight And Silent Envy
Tammy hated his attitude, so she deliberately jabbed at his sore spot.
“What’s wrong with that? He’s my boyfriend. Can’t I cook for him?”
Norman’s eyes reddened from her cutting words. His grip tightened unconsciously, hurting Tammy’s wrist.
She could take no more and struck out at him.
She’d intended to talk things through calmly, yet their exchange quickly turned physical.
Tammy was already irritable from all her failed cooking attempts, her moves sharp and unhesitating.
Norman burned with anger, yet he held back, unwilling to truly hurt her.
During their scuffle, Norman took several hard punches.
It seemed intentional–all her blows landed square on his face.
In no time, his handsome features bloomed with dark purple bruises.
“Tammy! If you keep hitting me, I’ll be disfigured!”
“Good. That’ll stop you from wandering around fooling people.”
“Who have I fooled?”
“You fooled me.”
Norman fell silent at once.
He hated lying, yet this was the one woman he’d deceived, and the lie had been enormous.
Guilt gnawed at him.
Tammy let out a cold snort, “Don’t touch me.”
“Tammy!”
“Don’t use that name with me. You can call me Miss Steele, or Mrs. Lund if you’d like.”
Tammy knew exactly how to wound him.

Norman’s chest ached like it might split open, rage churning inside him until he craved to lash
out.
“Tammy, stop goading me. What good will it do you to drive me to the edge? Why torment me like this?”
“Because I want to.”
Blinded by fury, Norman spat out a reckless line, “I should’ve taken you back then.”
The implication hung heavy between them.
Tammy’s face paled instantly.
She knew full well what he meant.
When she’d lost her memory once, she’d acted like a fool throwing herself at him, clinging and grabbing at him relentlessly.
If Norman hadn’t resisted every advance, they would’ve slept together long ago.
Just recalling it made her want to slap herself.
And now he had to bring it up.
Overcome with embarrassment and rage, Tammy lunged at him again.
Norman stepped back two paces, “Tammy!”
It was too late to back down–Tammy was dead set on knocking him flat.
Left with no choice, Norman raised his arms to block her blows.
The small home kitchen offered little room to maneuver. Their fight was fast and fierce, just like a scene from an action movie.
Lucas arrived looking for Tammy and witnessed the whole brawl from the doorway.
He stood frozen outside the door, his hands balling into tight fists without realizing it.
To onlookers, it was just Tammy and Norman fighting, but Lucas could only feel a sharp twinge of envy.
He envied Norman’s skill in combat.
He envied that Norman could stand beside Tammy freely, without restraint.

Unlike himself, who could only be protected by her.
He felt like a rat hiding in the dark, merely peeking at the sunlight outside.
Finished
If he weren’t terminally ill, counting down his final days, he would’ve rushed forward to claim her as his own—even knowing he stood no chance against Norman.
But he was sick.
And Tammy stayed with him not out of love.
Norman’s appearance tore apart the fragile, self–delusional dream Lucas had clung to.
Lucas dropped his gaze and slowly turned to leave.
Norman caught sight of something over Tammy’s shoulder, his movements faltering for a split second.
That split second cost him dearly. Tammy landed a solid punch to his jaw, nearly knocking out one of his teeth.
Seeing he’d gone slack, Tammy eased her strength–but Norman was already badly battered.
“You dare act cold toward me? Do you look down on me?”
Norman had no retort, crumpling to the floor.
He said nothing of who he’d spotted by the door.
Tammy, however, seemed to guess the truth and whipped around to stare behind her.
No one stood outside anymore.
She narrowed her eyes, “What were you staring at just now?”
Norman refused to answer, unwilling to let her pursue Lucas further.
Tammy spun on her heel and bolted out the door.
“Tammy!”
Norman called after her in a panic, yet she never glanced back, rushing onward.
He could lie all he wanted, but he couldn’t fool Tammy’s sharp senses.
She’d caught the faint medicinal scent clinging to Lucas and chased after him.

She didn’t run far before spotting Lucas sitting alone on a roadside bench.
Relief washed over her, and she walked toward him slowly.
Finished
Lucas’s body was far too weak to walk any distance. The sight of her fight with Norman had drained what little energy he had left, forcing him to rest there.
“Hey, why’d you run off?”
Lucas jolted and twisted his head around.
