The Galloway family blew up online, and suddenly everyone was running around like headless chickens trying to handle the chaos.
The next morning, as Britney was about to head out, she was surprised to see Aaron waiting outside her door.
He was still wearing the same clothes from yesterday, all wrinkle, and his beard was a mess.
He looked like he’d had a rough night.
It had taken him quite a while to track down where Britney was staying at Starry Haven.
His eyes lit up with surprise when he saw her. “Britney.”
Britney frowned. “What do you want?”
The distant look in her eyes cut deep into Aaron’s heart.
Aaron couldn’t help but gaze at her, longing in his eyes as bitterness spread inside him.
After a long silence, he finally spoke, his voice hoarse. “Let’s talk. know I messed up a lot with Patti. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I won’t deny my feelings were divided in this relationship. I
“Aaron, so you always knew, huh? You knew you were trying to have it all, that you were betraying this relationship. If I hadn’t exposed all your dirty secrets, you, the great Galloway heir, would’ve just kept enjoying everything without a care,” Britney cut him off.
She looked at him with disdain. “Don’t even try to tell me you regret it, that you’ve really ended things with Patti and want a
fresh start with me.”
Aaron’s face shifted. He really was here hoping to get back together with Britney.
He figured he’d learned his lesson and done some soul-searching. Britney was crazy about him. If he just kept showing up and asking for another chance, she’d cave in eventually.
She was always so soft-hearted, wasn’t she?
From the look on Aaron’s face, Britney could tell she’d hit the nail on the head.
She let out a cold laugh. “Do you think I’m that desperate? You think a simple ‘sorry’ is all it takes for me to forgive you? Aaron, I’m not your dumping ground. Someone as dirty as you? No thanks.”
“Didn’t you always think Patti was better than me? Why don’t you go be with her? You two can stay locked together and stop messing up other people’s lives,” she snapped.
Britney honestly had no idea where Aaron got the nerve to think she’d just take him back whenever he wanted.
With every word Britney threw at him, Aaron just stood there, te ashamed to even talk back.
He stayed silent, letting her say whatever she wanted, his eyes looked on her, refusing to look away.
Aaron tried to justify himself. “When Patti came back, she told me you were the one who forced her to leave. She said you sent people after her, and she got scared. I saw those photos too. At first, I didn’t buy it, but she blamed you for her depression.”
Aaron was the one who personally went to pick up Patti’s medical report for depression. He never doubted for a second that it was all an act she staged herself.

Aaron knew Amara was already dissatisfied with Britney, and if ti blew things up, Britney would definitely get caught up in the fallout
Britney couldn’t help but laugh at him. “So Patti blames me and you just buy it? Aaron, don’t tell me that if she threatened to expose everything, you’d keep her around, acting all caring, just for my sake.”
Aaron lowered his eyes, having nothing to say.
To Britney, his silence just made her sick.
She let out a bitter laugh. “Don’t even try to use me as your excuse to cover up your nasty mess. Sorry, I’m not buying it. Not only am I not grateful, it honestly just grosses me out.”
Britney gave him a sarcastic look. “You believe every word Patti says, don’t you? You can’t even give me the basic trust, so don’t drag my name into your excuses.”
‘He’s totally blind and brain-dead, and now he wants to pull me into his mess? What a joke,’ Britney thought.
“I really was taken in by Patti back then, Britney. If you think about it, I’m just another victim here. It was all Patti’s doing…” Aaron tried to make himself sound blameless, desperate to shift he blame.
In his mind, everything that happened was because Patti had lied to him. None of it was his fault.
Britney cut him off, clearly fed up. “Oh, please. So everything’s Patti’s fault and you’re squeaky clean? When you kept giving me a hard time just for her sake, was she holding a knife to your hroat or something?”
“I…” Aaron was completely speechless.
Because the truth was, he did all of that willingly, just to vent for Patti.
Britney let out a cold laugh. “You act all innocent after being the villain, Aaron. You grabbed every benefit for yourself. Try not to be so shameless.”
“You’re only here groveling because the truth’s out and everyone’s calling you out. Like I said, you don’t love anyone but yourself,” she said.
Britney had seen right through him from the very beginning.
Aaron clenched his fists, staring at Britney. “Is that all I am to you?”
Britney rolled her eyes. “Trust me, that’s me being generous. Do yourself a favor and get a clue.”
Aaron let out a bitter laugh at her words.
He turned to Britney again. “Alright, let’s forget about Patti for now. You called the cops and dragged the whole Galloway family into this mess. Britney, are you really set on cutting ties with the Galloways for good?”
That was something Aaron just couldn’t figure out.
Lately, he’d been so tangled up in everything that his mind was over the place.
It wasn’t until last night, when he finally found her and waited oside, that things finally started to make sense to him.
Britney gave Duke the boot and shook up the whole Santos Group, wasting no time installing her own crew. No doubt about it. She’d come prepared.
Aaron had no clue when Britney started scheming all this.

The Galloway family was getting roasted online, and the drama ist wouldn’t cool off. It was clear someone was pulling the strings behind the scenes.
He just couldn’t accept that Britney was the mastermind behind this.
Aaron locked eyes with Britney, who looked totally unfazed. “What are you really planning? Why are you going after the Galloway family?”
Seriously, he just couldn’t wrap his head around it.
At first, Aaron figured Britney was just jealous because he was always fussing over Patti, and now that things had fallen apart between them, she wanted nothing more to do with him.
But now, he wasn’t so sure anymore. Was that really the whole story?
Britney blinked, putting on her best innocent face. “I seriously have no idea what you’re even talking about. I’m just fighting back, looking out for myself. I didn’t start any of this, so how did I suddenly become the mastermind plotting some big conspiracy?”
“Aaron, not only are you clueless, you’re also paranoid,” she shot back.
Seriously, she had no idea what Aaron was even on about.
Seeing Britney’s innocent look, Aaron couldn’t take his eyes off her, just staring.
Doubt clouded his eyes. ‘Wait, am I just imagining things?’ he wondered.
‘Maybe Britney’s just trying to protect herself, not really out to get the Galloway Group,’ he thought.
For the first time, Aaron’s conviction began to falter.
Aaron kept his eyes on Britney, opened his mouth, about to say something.
But just then, someone called out from behind him.
