Patti had been questioned by the police at the hospital yesterday and she was absolutely furious that Britney was planning to sue her for slander.
Because her foot hadn’t been properly cared for, she had to go through a second surgery.
The doctor told her the damage was irreversible. She’d always walk with a limp and would never be able to fully recover.
Patti completely broke down right there.
She kept blowing up Aaron’s phone, but he’d had her number blocked. She couldn’t reach him at all.
Aaron had blocked her everywhere and even repossessed the house he’d bought for her.
On top of that, he was demanding every cent he’d ever spent on her.
Patti was left with nothing. She’d hit rock bottom.
She was too scared to go online, hiding out in her hospital room and avoiding everyone.
The internet was blowing up with hate, and even in the hospital, people were talking trash about her.
Patti was absolutely seething with hatred for Britney. If it weren’ for her, none of this would have happened.
She never once stopped to think about what she’d done wrong. She just blamed Britney for everything that had gone wrong in her life.
When she saw Britney, Patti’s eyes burned with hatred. “Get out, you bitch! Get out of here!”
Patti grabbed whatever was within reach and hurled it at Britney
Britney didn’t even bother reacting to Patti’s pathetic tantrum.
She walked straight toward Patti.
“Get out!” Patti spat, bristling like a furious porcupine, her eyes locked on Britney as she approached.
She eyed Britney warily.
Britney stopped right in front of her, standing over Patti and looking down with a cold, unflinching gaze.
She noticed the cast on Patti’s foot.
Britney already knew what Patti was going through before she even got here.
She didn’t feel the slightest bit of sympathy for Patti. This was all on her.
After a long pause, Britney asked quietly, “Do you hate me?”
Patti didn’t say a word, but the look in her eyes said it all.
Britney chuckled. “I’m not the one you should be mad at, Patti. Your mess isn’t my fault. Don’t get it twisted.”

“If it weren’t for you, I would’ve been back with Aaron by now! Yu exposed me just to keep me away from him, so quit pretending you’re the victim!” Patti snapped, her eyes blazing weh hatred.
Britney frowned. “You tried to set me up, so of course I fought back. Anyone would defend themselves.”
“Patti, winner takes it all, loser gets nothing. Face it, you lost. Qui making excuses and own up to it.”
Patti clenched her fists, her eyes still burning with hatred as she lared at Britney.
No way a few words from Britney would ever make her let go of hat hate.
Deep down, Patti just couldn’t bring herself to admit she was no match for Britney.
Back then, she’d already won. Aaron kept standing up for her, and it had driven Britney over the edge.
She still wouldn’t admit defeat.
Britney coming here to rub it in was a bit premature.
“Britney, get out!” Patti yelled, her wild outburst just now had aggravated her injured ankle, and a dull ache was starting to creep in.
Her lips were bloodless, cold sweat beading on her forehead.
But Britney wasn’t going anywhere. She faced Patti and said, “You can’t reach Aaron now, can you?
“He’s cut you off completely, and he’s even coming after every dime he ever spent on you. All those schemes of yours? Down the drain.”
“Patti, does that really sit right with you?” Britney taunted.
Patti’s jaw tightened the moment Britney brought up her situation. “So you’ve been digging around, huh? Did you just show up to gloat? Here to watch me crash and burn?
“Britney, don’t get so full of yourself. Winning this round doesn’t mean Aaron is yours.”
Britney was honestly speechless.
‘Seriously, what more do I have to do for Aaron and Patti to get through their thick heads? Why do they both act like I’m still obsessed with him, like everything I do is just some desperate move to win him back?’ Britney thought.
She was actually debating whether to just announce that she and Fredrick were already married, so they’d finally stop acting like they know what’s in her head.
She cleared her throat. “Why would I want someone nobody else wants? I’m not like you, so desperate you have to settle for someone else’s cast-offs.”
Those words hit Patti like a slap in the face.
Patti was so mad, she looked like she was ready to tear Britney to shreds.
Britney just kept going. “Relax, I’m not trying to steal Aaron from you. Actually, I’m here to help you out. Make sure you get
to stick around him.”
She paused for a moment. “Or maybe, I’m here to teach you how to become Mrs. Galloway. Sound good to you?”
Patti let out a laugh, like she’d just heard the most ridiculous jok ever. “Britney, sure, I lost to you, but that doesn’t mean I’m a total idiot. You helping me? As if you’d ever do something out of the goodness of your heart.”

Chapter 97
Patti wasn’t buying a single word Britney said, no matter what.
Britney knew Patti would never trust her, and honestly, she did care.

Britney continued, unfazed. “Back then, Amara really pulled out all the stops to force you away from Aaron, didn’t she?
“I believe you were bullied and hurt, but you know better than anyone who was really behind it.”
“Patti, you’ve got a shot at getting into the Galloway family right now. You really were hurt, and this whole thing is blowing up online. If you come clean about what really happened back then, you might actually score some sympathy points.”
Britney let out a soft sigh. “After all these years, you’ve always wanted justice for yourself back then.”
“It Amara gets taken in for questioning, you could totally milk this whole mess for what it’s worth. Grab whatever you can as payback for what happened back then. Honestly, that’s the least the Galloway family can do for you.”
Britney’s words hit Patti like a punch to the gut.
Patti had to admit that even if she hated it, she was seriously tempted by Britney’s offer.
After the way Amara had treated her back then, if she could ride all the drama blowing up now to cut a deal with the Galloway family, it had to be better than just shouldering all this mess alone.
Besides, the Galloway family could easily cut ties with Amara. Patti could already picture how it would go down. Amara would walk away without a scratch.
But Patti was in a whole different boat. Her reputation was trashed, and everyone knew it.
Why am I the one stuck with all the consequences while the Galloway family gets off scot-free, hiding in the shadows?’ Patti thought bitterly.
She glared hard at Britney, her eyes full of defiance. “Why should I trust you?”
Patti was tempted, but even so, she still refused to trust Britney.
Britney just shrugged. “I’m just giving you a way out. What you do with it is your call. Take care of your injury. I won’t bother you anymore.”
Britney had zero intention of sticking around just to win Patti’s trust.
Britney had already accomplished what she came here for.
Patti was sharp. She knew exactly what she needed to do to help herself.
Britney wasn’t worried at all.
