The office door opened as Beta Tade walked in with a file folder.

“Mr. Craig, there’s been some progress on the matter from over ten years ago that you asked to investigate.”

“Tell me,” Mortimer replied distractedly.

“The place where your accident happened was quite remote, with no surveillance. We’re currently looking for witnesses who lived nearby at the time.”

Mortimer frowned slightly, his irritation showing in his voice. “So you still haven’t found anything?”

Beta Tade pushed his glasses up. “We did find something from the Davis family. Ten years ago, there was an incident at the boarding school Vivian attended. Mortimer naturally remembered that incident.
