Ex-Mate Wants Me Back (Seraphina and Mortimer) novel Chapter 90

Chapter 90

Third Person’s POV

“No kidding,” Tade muttered under his breath.

He was starting to think Mortimer’s current move was officially off the rails. “Alpha Wilmot, is Luna Seraphina in real trouble?”

“Tell Mortimer his mate is currently being grilled in a global medical hearing! If this goes sideways, she loses her license, her job-everything! Tell him to get his ass back to LA. Now!

Wilmot didn’t wait for an answer. He slammed the phone down.

Tade stood there for a beat, his brain a total blank.

Then he remembered the text from Yolanda. He swiped it open.

It was a livestream link.

The screen was filled with high-definition footage of the night Seraphina saved Rolf.

It was the aortic dissection-raw, clinical, and intense. In the background, a panel of top-tier surgeons was dissecting every flick of her wrist with surgical precision. The atmosphere was heavy.

“The timing here is critical. You have seconds to find the bleed. In this regard, Seraphina’s response was flawless.”

“This is a textbook case of a complex repair. Her execution is perfect. Every step is as precise as a machine.”

On screen, medical legends who usually didn’t get out of bed for less than a million dollars were actually sounding impressed. Some were even leaning in, mesmerized.

Online, the comments section was a battlefield.

“Can a med student explain this? Is she actually that good?”

“Med student here. I’d bet my future license on it. You can lie about her personal life all you want, but you can’t touch her skill. This is god-tier.”

“Two years out of residency and she’s pulling this off? Insane.”

Vivian’s fanatical base tried to flood the zone, but they were hitting a wall of logic.

“If she’s so great, why is she just a staff surgeon?”

“Reply: Because residency requirements are a thing, you idiot. If you can’t read a chart, stay off the thread. You’re embarrassing yourself.”

“Do you have any idea how many papers she’s published? Read a book, Influencer Girl.”

Vivian watched the tide turn from her screen, her smug expression rotting into a mask of jagged fury.

Before the stream started, she owned the narrative.

Now, except for her hardcore stans and the bots she’d paid for, the general public was starting to respect Seraphina.

She hadn’t spent all this money and effort just to build a stage for Seraphina’s career.

She didn’t expect Aurora to step in.

Their credibility was a fortress; she couldn’t attack the hearing’s fairness without looking like a sore loser.

Her face twisted into something ugly.

She swapped accounts and started spamming the chat, looking for a new angle to bleed.

“Who cares if she’s a good surgeon? If she’s got no ethics, would you trust her with your life?”

“Don’t forget: she’s the bitch trying to steal another woman’s man.”

“I wouldn’t let a homewrecker touch me. What if she wants my husband next? She’d probably ‘accidentally’ let me bleed out on the table.”

The distraction worked. The focus blurred again.

While the doctors kept talking shop, the mob went back to howling about Seraphina’s “character” and her “obsession” with the

CEO.
