Chapter 89
Third Person’s POV
By mid-morning, a media powerhouse dropped a bomb that shattered the internet.
The Aurora Platform-the elite streaming arm of the Clayton Group-announced they would be broadcasting the malpractice hearing for Dr. Seraphina Hale live to the world.
They weren’t just bringing in local suits; they’d invited top tier medical legends and federal senators to sit on the panel.
The Clayton Group, backed by the ancient Bloodmoon Pack, held the keys to every narrative on the West Coast. They were the kingmakers of the industry.
Nobody crossed them, and they were the only ones with enough teeth to rip open corporate secrets.
For the public, if it was on Aurora, it was the gospel truth.
The digital mob went into a frenzy.
Just as Seraphina expected, the clips of Professor Bauer defending her had been hacked and edited, painting him as a corrupt academic thug covering for a killer student.
But with Aurora stepping in, the wind started to shift.
“If Aurora is hosting, Seraphina must have a hell of a defense. She isn’t hiding.”
“Look at that panel list. Those doctors don’t show up for small fry. This is a surgical reckoning.”
“I don’t care about the science. Seraphina needs to quit and beg Princess Vivian for mercy!”
“Vivian is clearly Martimer’s favorite. He probably called in the stream himself to clear her name.”
Back at the healing center, the staff who knew the truth were vibrating with collective rage.
“How is she staying this quiet? I’d be burning the city down,” one nurse hissed.
“Mortimer and that Davids girl are a joke. He sees his mate in the trenches and he… what? Pulls a disappearing act?!”
“No wonder Seraphina treats him like a stranger. With a mate like that, who needs enemies?”
They huddled together, the injustice of it all tasting like ash.
“The fact that he’s letting Vivian run wild? That’s not a mistake. That’s a choice. He’s a cold-blooded prick.”
Craig Group. New York Satellite Office.
“Meeting adjourned.” Mortimer surged to his feet, radiating a localized low-pressure system that made the air in the boardroom feel thin. He marched out without a second glance.
Tade was right on his heels, operating on pure caffeine and spite.
At 3:00 AM, for no logical reason, Mortimer had ordered a cross-country flight for an “emergency” trip.
Only a wolf with a death wish or a CEO with a crumbling mating flies from LA to NYC in the dead of night.
Mortimer couldn’t sleep, so he decided no one else would either.
Tade was operating on pure caffeine and spite, trying to handle his boss’s lethal mood, when his phone went off. It was Yolanda, the head secretary back in LA
“Tade, you swore to me she wasn’t Alpha Mortimer’s Luna. Explain this. Seraphina is getting crucified. The whole internet

thinks she’s a homewrecker!”
Before Tade could type a reply, she sent a link to the Aurora livestream.
His thumb hovered over the play button when a call broke through.
“Hello? Alpha Wilmot?”
Wilmot’s voice hit him like a hurricane. “Where the hell is Mortimer? His mate is about to be ended on live TV and he’s ghosting his calls! My wife is currently tearing me a new one because of his silence. Do you have any idea what’s happening?”
Tade stalled, his brain trying to bridge the gap.
