Ex-Mate Wants Me Back (Seraphina and Mortimer) novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95

Third Person’s POV

With Mortimer in the room, the Davis family had zero ground left to stand on.

Even with their teeth gritted in rage, they had to swallow their pride and back down.

Three days.

Vivian’s mind was a toxic swirl of cold, jagged spite. “I’ll wait three days. And then I am going to bury Seraphina for good.”

The hearing was effectively over.

Holly, the Aurora moderator, faced the primary camera with a shark-like professional smile.

“To our global audience, thank you for joining us. Aurora will continue to track this investigation until the public has the truth. Goodnight.”

The feed cut to black, but the internet was already in the middle of a nuclear meltdown.

The “Secret Maing” rumor hadn’t just been debunked; it had been incinerated.

Seraphina’s supporters were taking a victory lap, while Vivian’s hardcore stans were staring at their screens in a catatonic state.

“I’ve been holding my breath all morning. Finally, some oxygen.”

“That was a masterclass. First, a surgical lecture from the gods, then a high-society smackdown. Five stars.”

“I thought I was watching a homewrecker get exposed. Turns out I was watching an influencer’s fan-fiction get shredded in real

Public opinion was a double-edged sword.

If one used public opinion to hurt others, when it backfired, the consequences would only be more miserable.

Back in the room, Vivian watched the red ‘Live’ light go out. She felt the world tilting.

She drifted toward Mortimer, her eyes filling with a perfect, practiced layer of tears. “Morty… did I mess up? Are you mad at me? I was just so scared for Rolf… please don’t hate me.”

She reached out, her fingers trembling, trying to snag the edge of his sleeve.

In the past, that move was her silver bullet. Mortimer would’ve softened instantly.

But today, Barton-his wolf-was snarling in the back of his mind. The predator was revolted by the scent of her staged desperation.

Mortimer rubbed his temples, a jagged spike of irritation hitting him. “If you know you messed up, go apologize to Seraphina.”

Vivian froze. The air left her lungs.

She’d spent the morning trying to end Seraphina’s career, and now Mortimer was telling her to bow down to “that bitch”?

She bit her lip until it bled, her eyes burning with resentment.

But she felt the Alpha pressure in the room thickening. It was suffocating. She forced herself to take two agonizing steps toward

Seraphina

“Don’t bother.”

Seraphina cut her off before she could even open her mouth. Her voice was ice.

Vivian felt a flicker of triumph.
