Chapter 100
“Mr. Morse…”
He hadn’t finished speaking when Collin raised his hand to interrupt, saying, “Mr. Finley, theoretically speaking, it’s not quite appropriate to change the person in charge temporarily, but considering your situation, it can be understood. I have been Jaylon’s mentor and I know him. He won’t cause trouble for no reason.”
After a pause, he continued, “I haven’t been involved in the company’s affairs for many years, and I can’t be of any help with the cooperation matters. I’m sorry. I have something else to attend to.”
Collin’s gaze was intense, and he refused decisively, not giving Andres another chance to speak, and continued walking forward.
Andres’ expression shifted as he came to the realization that Collin, a seasoned veteran of the business world, wouldn’t be as amenable to negotiation as his demeanor might suggest.
Andres and Alec hurried to catch up.”Mr. Morse, we have negotiated with the Morse Group many times regarding this matter in the past. However, they’ve yet to offer a clear-cut statement. Instead, they’re insistent on holding the former employee accountable.”
“Mr. Morse, you said you couldn’t be of any help, and we understand that. This time, I’ve come to you rather abruptly. However, my main purpose is to trouble you to convey a message to Mr. Jaylon. I hope this will give us an opportunity to have a thorough discussion regarding this
matter.”
Andres thought that Collin might not necessarily lend a hand, so he decided to try another approach and asked him to pass on a message to Jaylon.
Once Collin passed on the message, it was highly likely that the Morse Group would think that this was Collin’s opinion. This would subsequently facilitate Keira’s replacement later.
Andres followed Collin all the way to the restaurant door, explaining as they walked, “Mr. Morse, Peak Entertainment has always had a successful partnership with the Morse Group in the past. Although this collaboration was initiated by me personally, it is still backed by Peak Entertainment. I hope you can give us a chance
Collin walked straight ahead without looking away but when he reached the glass door, he stopped in his tracks.
Still with a slightly scrutinizing gaze, Collin said, “Mr. Finley, I’ll say it again, Jaylon has always been composed, and he has managed the company well for so many years. I won’t interfere in these matters anymore, so I’m sorry. I have something else to attend to. Excuse me.”
He finished speaking and entered the restaurant. Andres couldn’t be more anxious, and he wanted to follow in.”Mr. Morse…”
