His face went a bit pale, and before he could fully collect himself, Alec gave him a gentle nudge and whispered, “Andres, Mr. Morse is here.”
Andres took a deep breath, looked up, and his expression settled back to normal.
The man approaching was dressed in a simple dark short-sleeved shirt and a pair of black casual suit pants. Despite being in his fifties, he exuded energy and confidence, walking with a steady gait.
He had held a high position for years, but he didn’t come off as strict. The touches of white in his hair at the temples actually made him seem even more approachable.
Andres quickly composed himself and walked over to him.”Mr. Morse, could I have a couple of minutes of your time?”
Collin was suddenly stopped. He was dumbfounded, then he asked, “Who are you?”
But his gaze went through the restaurant’s glass door, looking at the tall figure who had already walked into the private room inside.
The traffic on the road was snarled up. Collin had been fretting over being late for the appointment. However, when he got out of the car he noticed that Kamden had just arrived, and at that moment, he felt relieved.
As he was about to catch up with Kamden, he was stopped. Due to his upbringing, Collin refrained from displaying his displeasure and instead waited politely for the other person’s
response.
“Hello, Mr. Morse. I am Andres Finley, an artist from Peak Entertainment. This year, the Morse Group has invested in a movie project that my team and I are working on. Unfortunately, our team leader abruptly resigned, and as a result, we’re in search of someone to replace him.” Andres quickly explained, not wanting to take up too much of his time.
Andres observed Collin’s expression and saw that Collin did not show any displeasure, so he felt that he would succeed.
However, Collin paused for a moment, and then said, “Since you are able to find me, you may know that I have not been involved in the affairs of the Morse Group for these past few years. For these cooperative matters, you should contact Jaylon.”
Andres, afraid of being misunderstood, quickly explained, “We did, in fact, reach out to other executives within the Morse Group previously. However, given that the employee who tendered their resignation was the one tasked with contract signing, upon explaining the situation, the Morse Group maintained that the resigned employee from our end should continue to be in charge of the project.”
Collin furrowed his brows slightly, not saying a word, but only looking at Andres with a slightly scrutinizing gaze.
