She fell silent for a moment, then briefly introduced Keira’s characteristics. She asked, “Was it

her?”

Before Marlee finished speaking, Andres’s face had turned gloomy.

After she asked, the neighbor said delightedly, “Yes, she’s that all and looks attractive.”

Andres’s face turned completely cold and his gaze became gloomy upon hearing these words.

He and Keira used to tell each other about their daily schedules. However, as she had been acting up these past few days, Andres didn’t want to indulge her and thus didn’t contact her.

Yesterday, he learned that Ronin had given her a half-month off. Andres was surprised that Kiera had come to voice her grievances to Kaitlyn and Everett today.

No wonder Kaitlyn and Everett, who had always been nice to him, were giving him a hard time.

Andres noticed that Marlee was frowning slightly next to him. He felt that Kiera was not only willful but also scheming.

Almost two hours later, Kaitlyn asked Everett to give Andres a call.

“Andres, Kaitlyn and I are too busy to meet you today. You should go home. I’ll contact you another day.”

Andres suppressed his emotions and responded with an “OK”. He then ended the call, his eyes

colder.

The neighbor, however, seemed oblivious and continued to ask, “Do you know each other? Does she have a boyfriend?”

Andres didn’t answer this question but instead asked her, “Did you see Mr. and Mr. Watkins go out today?”

The neighbor thought for a moment and said, “I didn’t pay attention in the morning, but I didn’t see them go out after that girl arrived. And shortly after she left, you came over.”

“I’m out to check because I’m curious after you’ve been waiting here for a while.”

Since it didn’t take her long to leave, the neighbor didn’t witness her departure.

But Andres thought his guess was near the truth after hearing these words.

As soon as Keira left, Everett called him over but refused to let him in.

Andres realized now that their being busy was just an excuse. They treated him this way to stand up for Kiera.

Marlee looked at his expression and spoke softly to comfort him, “Andres, don’t be angry. Could there be any misunderstanding about this?

“Although you two are at odds, I don’t think she would badmouth you in front of Mr. Watkins. Even if she did say something, Mr. Watkins wouldn’t be unreasonable to you. Don’t you think?
