This made him even angrier. Emily shut him out, and Keira kept avoiding him, trying to put him in his place.

He bombarded several phones, and Keira only answered after a while.

Andres threatened, “Let Ms. Reid continue to teach Alondra right now, or else…”

Keira frowned, “Or else?”

“Do you really think I didn’t know what you did at Mount Foraker a couple of days ago?” asked Andres.

Keira was confused.”Since you knew, why did you call me?”

“Keira, are you really that stubborn? Let me tell you. If you don’t bring back Ms. Reid, there will be no chance between you and me anymore!”

Andres threatened, “I’ve always kept connections for you, but now I’ll take them all back. In this circle, you’ll struggle to get anywhere. If Ms. Reid doesn’t come back, it might affect Alondra’s future, but with me around, she still has options. But you, Keira? Without me, what do you have left?”

He thought, “Does she really think that she can control me with just Ms. Reid?

“When I take back all the resources and connections in her hands, Keira will really struggle in the circle, and only then will she realize that she can’t live without me.”

Andres added, “I’ll give you three days to decide. If not, I’ll reveal you’re leaving my team. See if anyone still wants to work with you. Also, think about how my fans will react to you. Will you get the criticism you want?”

Keira listened to his menacing threats. Even though she had told herself many times that she and him were no longer related, a pang still echoed in her heart.

Though she felt quite uncomfortable, she had no urge to cry. Instead, she burst into laughter, “Alright then, I’ll wait and see.”

With that, she immediately hung up on Andres.

Feeling down, but with a rare break, Keira went back to the Vaughan residence to visit the elders.

Kamden noticed that she was not in a good mood, so he took a whole day off to keep her company.

Keira tried not to feel awkward, treating that night like a dream.

But lately, she asked around and watched closely. Yet, she didn’t see any signs of Kamden in a

romance.

She didn’t expect he could keep things hidden so well.

“It seems that you’ve been pretty interested in me lately.” Kamden slowly put down the document he was holding.
