Keira knew that if she just owned up to her mistake, he would forgive her.
Chelsea sat in the passenger seat, clutching her seatbelt so tight that her hands were sweaty.

She took a deep breath to calm herself down and went back to her usual quiet and reserved self, lowering her head.
Randall peeked out from behind and said, “I felt something was off.”
Chelsea frowned, wondering, “Did he not believe what Keira said?”
He muttered to himself, “Marlee doesn’t look like she’s in love with Mr. Finley.
“They seemed close, but not like a couple. Something was off.”
Chelsea really wanted to shut him up.”You’ve never been in a relationship. What do you know?”
“No, Chelsea, I’ve noticed you’ve suddenly got a talent for teasing people. How do you manage to say those hurtful things so nicely?”
Keira glanced at the two of them with a smile on her lips. These two were such a joy to be around.
During dinner, Chelsea winced in pain from the spiciness, tears almost coming to her eyes.
Randall, on the other hand, acted like everything was fine and asked skeptically, “I thought you loved spicy food. This is supposed to be just a bit spicy. Why are you reacting like this?”
Chelsea was left speechless.
She didn’t want to admit it, but she really didn’t like spicy food at all.
She suggested spicy food to help Keira avoid hanging out with those people.
Head down, Chelsea sweated through the spice, nibbling and panting. She didn’t bother to talk. “Randall, you goofball! You grew so tall you must have left your brain behind!” Chelsea cursed in
